It's funny how today's leaders and national figures whose families have come to our land and made significant strides economically at the cost of our Native people - yet, now that they are in power seek to send and block any foreigner out of the country. Native people resist these values and seek to include diversity of the Sacred Circle. These are our teachings. - unyeah

Last year at the Unity Gathering our friend, Jacob John camped for 4 days and kept the Fires of Friendship going. Bitter cold but he did it. - Thanks Jacob. Have to do it again this year.

Native people appreciate our elder warriors and acknowledge them as such. We were very much honored to have them make this tremendous presentation to the world and the country. Those who heard and understood were honored as well - despite. #CodeTalkers #WWII #Honor #Respect

*Give us a "shout out" and visit our website." The American Indian Community Center has been in Spokane serving Native Americans and all other populations since 1967. Originally founded as a Gathering Place for Native Americans in the City, has since evolved into a multi-service organization with an emphasize on Employment and Training for Native Americans.

Our Vision is "to create a respectful and hospitable gathering place that links all people who walk through our doors to services and relationships that heal, strengthen, and honor their diverse experiences and cultures."
