A trend that is making a buzz on Youtube for a few months now is the do-it-yourself braces. A woman from Washington claims to have closed a gap in her front teeth in 44 days using DIY braces.

According to dental experts, DIY braces are not advisable as this can cause a major damage to the mouth. Braces treatment is not a simple procedure and requires years of training and expertise that only a qualified dentist or orthodontist can do. To avoid dental health risks, braces are indeed best left up to the professionals.

To know more about the dental health risks of DIY braces, click on the link below:

We all know that brushing the teeth is important in maintaining good oral hygiene. But how much toothpaste should you really use?

For adults, an estimated pea sized amount of toothpaste should suffice to properly clean their teeth. On the other hand, the amount of toothpaste for children varies by age. A thin streak of toothpaste should be used for an infant’s teeth. Half of the amount that is recommended for adults should be used to brush children’s teeth who are older than 5 years.

Putting the right amount of toothpaste means you won’t have to buy toothpaste as often as you have in the past. You will also avoid damaging your and your child’s teeth with excessive fluoridation which is common among those who use more toothpaste than needed.

This Easter bunny finally decided to correct his buck teeth through braces. How cool is that?!?

Aside from buck teeth, braces treat a wide range of orthodontic problems such as malocclusions, overbites, cross bites, open bites, deep bites, crooked teeth and other flaws of the teeth.

Belated happy Easter to everyone! We hope you had a great time! :)
