The Green Machine is linear motion machine that sprays clear florescent safety tubes with an automated HPLV spray gun. My lead engineer, James Lee, designed the metal frame, did all the welding and assembly of The Green Machine. I headed up the software and hardware development, I used open source software.

Aerogel !!

Also know as frozen smoke, is the world’s lowest density solid, clocking in at 96% air. If you hold a small piece in your hand, it’s practically impossible to either see or feel, but if you poke it, it’s like styrofoam. It supports up to 4,000 times its own weight and can withstand a direct blast from two pounds of dynamite. It’s also the best insulator in existence!

Aerogel was first created by Samuel Stephens Kistler in 1931, as a result of a bet with Charles Learned over who could replace the liquid in "jellies" with gas without causing shrinkage.

There are still some good things on Facebook. It's not all drama central. :-)

I have been trying for a week to log in to OctoPrint. My hard drive crashed and I got a mac. I lost everything. My username and password should be the same but for some reason I can't log in. What do I do?

To elaborate: your passwords are hashed on disk and not stored in plain text. The hashing also involves a salt (unsalted hashes are a bad idea from a security perspective). That salt is generated on first start and stored in config.yaml. If that salt gets lost (eg due to a hard disk crash) the password hashes cannot be matched up on login anymore. So if your OctoPrint server doesn't let you login anymore, delete users.yaml, set firstRun to true and setup your user account again. I might misunderstand you here and it was not the system running OctoPrint but the system you use to access it that crashed, but in any case if you're locked out of it, the above steps help.

This picture is of a 2.5kg brick supported by a piece of aerogel, the worlds lightest solid material. This particular piece weighs in with a mass of 2 grams.
Aerogel is nicknamed 'frozen smoke' or 'solid air', due to the fact that it is composed of 99.98% air by volume. Aerogels are a diverse class of amazing materials with properties unlike anything else known. They exhibit the lowest thermal conductivity of any known solid, and are the lowest density structural materials ever developed.
In spite of their name, aerogels are solids and not gels. The name is derived from the production process, the liquid component of a gel is extracted through supercritical drying. The first aerogels were produced from silica gels, but later work produced aerogels based on alumina, chromia and tin dioxide.
