Never going back. Cafe Flora is a great place to eat with people you don't like, because with the staff constantly reminding you that there is a wait for your table, you can wolf down your food, pay quickly and get out without even getting the chance to chat. I have been a devoted patron of Cafe Flora since the early 1990's, but after breakfast there this morning, I wont set foot in the place. I was about 10 or 15 minutes late and the friend I was meeting told me that the waiter actually said something about needing the table because a number of people were waiting. He "approached" her twice before any order was placed! After an admittedly fine breakfast, the waiter grimaced when I asked for more coffee and my friend wanted more hot water for her tea. He then said something about people waiting for the table. When we lingered a few minutes longer, he actually told us that "they had reservations"! Which is not true, because they only take reservations for six or more (it has been their policy forever) and we were at a table which was small for two. Lest you think that the pressure to eat fast and go came from this individual waiter, when I told him I would never be back, he called a woman I recognized as a long-time manager over and SHE reiterated that she was "sorry", but there were people waiting for the table. In case you were wondering how long we were there: about an hour and-a-half, from the time I arrived. Cafe Flora, I am sorry that you are now so greedy that you are willing to ruin your customers' dining experience to sell more stuff. I have spent half of an hour and more waiting patiently for a table in part to enjoy your food, which is good, but also to savor a meal with friends and family. You have lost this long-time customer and the many people who joined her for special brunches and dinners on birthdays, Mother's Day, etc.

As a vegetarian, I love seeing ANY restaurant have options that are available to me. So, naturally, I absolutely LOVE that Cafe Flora has not only vegetarian but vegan choices as well! Not to mention, the food itself is so delicious that non vegetarians won't even notice the minus of meat in their meals because they are so distracted by the other amazing flavors happening in their mouths!

Best dishes? Portabella Wellingtons and the Southern Breakfast Platter definitely come to mind. Service isn't the fastest, so prepare to make an event out of it, but if you can eat in the atrium, the ambiance alone will make you swoon! Also, pick up a copy of their cookbook. It makes you appreciate how much work they put into every dish!

Cafe Flora is where you take your out of town vegetarian friends to show off the great spaces Seattle vegetarians have to offer. The food is pretty good and the ambiance is great.

Okay, very mixed impressions here. I really wanted to love this place, because I've heard very good things about it and it is a vegetarian restaurant! So I was really excited to try it out. The negatives. First of all, the service was far from the best - our server was not rude, but she would get obviously annoyed with any questions about food, show up and interrupt our conversation all the time, and all that without any smile. Second, the food - I was looking forward to having a big salad, but their raw vegan salad options are surprisingly limited (and they don't like to make substitutes)! I understand that the focus of this place is on cooked vegetarian food, but there should be at least one hearty salad on the menu. What I got was no different from some garden salad from some steakhouse - lots of lettuce with tiny pieces of tomatoes, cucumbers and melon - not very impressing and still hungry after it..I also got 'jar of pickles' and it was probably the worst pickles I've ever tried, very heavy on vinegar. The tea came in a damaged chipped teapot. All in all, we ended up paying close to $100 for our dinner and I was still hungry after it. The positives. My friend's pizza and vegan cake were extremely delicious. The location is really good. And the best part was the ambiance! Spacious light-filled room with live plants and a little waterfall in the middle - gives you a feel that you're sitting in some patio in a park. Very nice. To sum up, it's a great place if you're a vegetarian, but if you like salads then this place has very limited options. And this place should definitely work on training their staff better!

Our favorite vegetarian place in Seattle. The brunch is fantastic and the service is warm and friendly. I especially recommend the Rancho Colorado Scramble, but any of the season specialties are great too!

Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was amazingly seasoned. The seasoned breakfast platter had garlicky veggies that melt in your mouth. Topped off with mimosas, great way to start off a Saturday. 😎😁

To start off the service was off-putting. We did not feel welcomed nor accepted as well as ignored by our server on several occasions. The cocktails we ordered sounded great, but were very disappointing (and not worth $10 a piece). The food was unmemorable and also over-priced. In conclusion, the only thing we actually enjoyed was the decor of the restaurant..which was not worth the visit.
