This restaurant used to be great! But now something has changed I think it's the management. My boyfriend and I made reservations and called ahead to move them up and the hostess was beyond rude. We were ignored (probably because of our age, we're 19) when we came in early. And we had to wait an extra long time. So we left, and went to Japanese Kitchen which was fantastic! (recommend) A couple days later we returned to the Melting Pot without a reservation really early when they had just opened. The hostess was rude again and we had to stand there when she talked on the phone leisurely. When we got to our table the waitress was awkward and didn't talk at all. I couldn't figure out how to work their sink in the restroom so I asked the waitress how to turn the water on and I heard them laughing about some "girl couldn't figure out how to work our sink." On top of that the fondue was disgusting! Plus - the portions have become really small and choppy. The whole experience was awful. Really immature. And the most immature part was when I called the next day to ask the manager what he could do about this, Tony (the manager) said he would make sure it was "better" the next time. The next time. After we spent $140! I asked for my money back at least and he said he would call me back. He didn't. So I called again the next day and got a gracious $50 gift card for this restaurant. This is a good gift for a Secret Santa because I will NOT be returning to this restaurant again.

VERY VERY BAD SERVICE! We left there feeling as though we had been an inconvenience and had never felt that way at the old location. TO BAD! We will not likely return. Very bad experience!

I stopped in while in town to purchase a gift card for a family member that is getting married and planning to honeymoon in Albuquerque the following week. I spoke with the manager to purchase the gift card and while making the purchase clearly wrote the total on the slip I signed not adding a tip. I had purchased an amount on the card to cover any tip as well as their meal. Once getting home and looking at my bank statement, I discovered another 20% added to the purchase that was not on the card. The manager did not explain any cost of purchasing the card, like a card fee and did not warn of any added tip. I feel this to be an overcharge and not acceptable. Do not add fees without explaining and do not add tip without authorization. I would leave no star if at all possible because based on this experience I will never eat at the restaurant. I am also calling my bank to reverse the charge and will instead give cash in an envelope. Bad ethics and bad experience. In retrospect, the whole time we were at the hostess stand making the purchase, we felt we were bothering the staff. Not a welcoming environment.

I sent and paid for my son and his girlfriend for dinner. When they walked in, the waiters were overheard arguing over who was going to have to serve them. Eventually they were seated. Once seated, their order was taken and brought to the table by the same. When serving, he dropped the food in front of them and left. Never giving explanation of how to cook what. They summoned a different waiter and he explained it to them. Their waiter never offered to refill their drinks and had to be waved down to do so. He asked them if they wanted desert which they answered no. He said"good" and stormed off. These kids are seventeen and taught to tip well. They left their waiter four dollars and the one that explained how to cook the food ten. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone again. Nor will my wife and I ever dine there again.

(In my very best french accent) It was very delicious, an incredible experience in which each bite was uniquely cooked to perfection!

My husband and I reserve this as our place to go for our most special occasions. We both have food allergies ranging from mild to severe, and The Melting Pot is one of the few restaurants which handle them (Especially mine) with no problems. The food is always excellent, and the service is impeccable. It is not a place to go when in a rush, and the servers are attentive without being intrusive. This is exactly the way we like it, since we like to talk and eat without being interrupted incessantly, and we like being able to finish up one course before beginning another. While I can understand it not being everyone's cup of tea, it is perfect for couples like my husband and me who want a relaxed hour+ experience. On a side note, I have gone there alone and was happy with that experience as well. My husband has occasionally gone with his co-workers, and the waitstaff always ask how I'm doing and send their regards on those occasions.

Had a birthday there. No effing hat was supplied to my table. Disappointment filled my body entirely. But being in the gravy side, I shoved fondue in my face and down my throatescular tube all the way down. YUMMMY! The waiter was very nice and made me feel like I was loved and sat down and ate 60% of my fondue. It was ok because I was there by myself. Overall fun place, but not for birthdays! Left in a good mood until I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and what catches my peripherals? A massive biblical steaming malodorous discharge that must of came from that old lady.

Pricey. They take a while. Go for the dining experience. Don't bring little kids.
