This restaurant sucks. I'm pretty forgiving with restaurants since my husband and I have been the biz for years in many capacities..Don't waste your time or money. I'm surprized they aren't out of business by now in this economy. The service was beyond poor and the management was worse, let alone the food was mediocre to bad when it finally arrived. The manager never even bothered to come over to our table and see what the problem was. The restaurant was not busy and after waiting over an hour for our dinners to arrive, we flagged down a neighboring waitress to find out what was going on and where our waiter had disappeared to. He quickly appeared and we announced we were going to leave. Miraculously he said our meals were about to come up. ...Yeah, right...Should have left and saved the money spent. But we believed him and decided to stay but another 10 minutes past (probably the time it takes to boil some pasta and throw together our meals, I suspect). Needless to say, the lobster ravioli was the worst I'd ever experienced and presentation was lacking...tougand hard pasta, not worth eating..I sent it back ..no apology.."I'm sorry you had to wait so long and your meal is bad,...can I get you anything else, comp your dinner? buy you a drink? dessert? how can we make this right ?or anything"..NOTHING--- NADA!!! When the meal charge showed up on my tab that was it !!!...again no waiter.. we were dealing with the substitute waitress again---the manager never showed up to our table but I did see him adjust the bill at the terminal with the waitress so he was very aware AFTER I complained. I'm a reasonable person and very patient ..willing to give restaurants a second - third chance but this is the third (or more) chance thinking maybe they had improved since it had been a while since I'd been there... NAW...still LOUSY...don't waste your time or money.

If you'd like to visit the Eastside restaurant with more health code violations than ANY other establishment-this us the place for you! Deserves zero stars.

I am a frequent diner at Cucina Cucina, as I work nearby. The wait staff is always amazing -- they are always friendly and attentive -- beverages are kept filled without having to ask. Sherman & Josh are great! They remember what I like & what I don't. The salads are great & you can order almost all of them as a smaller sized portion (except the Monroe). The Cambozola bread is always a favorite. If I am eating here for dinner, instead of a lunch -- I will usually order the Chicken Marsala, which is excellent. The portions are large -- but the menu is actually a dinner menu. They do have lunch specials and happy hour specials. For dessert - you can't beat the Apple Pie (and ice cream) -- takes about 15 minutes, because they make it to order & bake it in their wood oven! Yum!

Food was great. I've always liked it there. That being said, I should have paid more attention to all of the reviews that said Cucina Cucina is WAY overpriced. You can get the same meal at the Cheesecake Factory for a much better price, and way more food. A small personal pizza cost $13. I was shocked. Other restaurants would have charged $9 max for the same. This also brings me to the reason I had time to look at the reviews while waiting in the lobby. There were plenty of tables available, but we (and everyone else in the lobby) waited for quite a while because of, get this: No menus available! What kind of restaurant doesn't seat you because they don't have enough menus. The irony is this, my wife and I already knew what we wanted to order. LOL! All I could do was laugh, with the other patrons, at the funny situation. Sorry Cucina Cucina, but I think the Cheesecake Factory is a MUCH better value for this type of fare.

When it first opened years ago, this place was good. Today its bland, expensive for the quality, and not worth your time. Avoid.

Great pizza and salad! Our waiter was very friendly and on point, the food was amazing, and the place wasn't too crowded. We started with the Cambozola bread, a delicious, cheesy flatbread that comes with roasted garlic and Cambozola cheese to spread on, and OH WOW! AMAZING! For dinner I got the Goat Cheese, Pesto, and Artichoke pizza and my friend ordered Linguine Con Pollo. The pizza was wonderful. It was cooked perfectly and the wood fired oven adds a nice touch of flavor. I love pizza but I'm not always a huge fan of tomato sauce, so this was a score for me. We both loved our dishes and I will be coming back for sure.

Not impressed with either the food or the service. Especially at the prices they are charging. I mean really... what self respecting Italian restaurant charges $6 for BREAD? If you are reading this, you are better off at Tutta Belle, or Lombardi's, if you need Italian food in Issaquah...
