This intimate, standing-room-only venue for cutting-edge music is steeped in rock-n-roll history.- Google
"Sweet music venue on Santa Monica."
"The Get Up Kids, Bon Iver, Rosie Thomas were just some of my favorites."

A storied venue steeped in musical history. The amount venerable acts who have performed here is staggering. It's a small venue and worth arriving early if you would like to get a good spot. As you walk in there is a bar to the left of the entrance. Fantastic music memorabilia lines the walls and is fun to look through. The service for such a busy place was outstanding. All of the bartenders that served us were friendly and helped make the visit that much more enjoyable. If you love music is smaller venues, the Troubadour is for you.

One of the best venues on the sunset strip. Great bar!

The venue is alright, in need of serious updating. The kitchenette is small and unkempt-- the woman named Ruby who was working in there totally lit up a Capri and smoked it behind a little pop-out door. Unprofessional and unsanitary. Fix that sh*t. Oh and very overpriced for frozen food--- small portions of frozen food.

Checked it out because of G&R. Saw an awesome bad! Mostly standing room only, some spots around the bar. Drinks were priced right. We were hungry, relieved that they offered food options, very reasonably priced. Staff was nice, even though busy. Bathroom, was small and messy, typical for a busy bar. Great sound, great atmosphere, it wasn't too packed. Might not be as fun if it is packed. We really liked the lounge out front, the AC was great and it was a nice spot to sit and chill, when needed a break from the crowd. Could still see the band through the awesome window. Loved the memorabilia on the wall. You could just hang out in the lounge if you are tourist, and just want to pop in and avoid the cover. We took the bus here, stop is right out front.

If you love seeing bands in small, intimate venues (as I do) The Troubadour is one of the best places in LA to do so. Came here for the first time in MANY years a few weeks ago to catch 80s/90s hard rockers Fu Manchu and it made me wonder why I don't come here more often. I think that's about to change, as I've been getting out to see more shows of late and a lot of bands I'm interested in do come through here. It IS tiny and it IS a pain in the ass to park around there but you can't beat getting super up close and personal with the band. The vibe is chill, the bartenders are nice and the drink prices seemed reasonable (if you can make it back there when the crowd is at its peak).

When I go to concerts, I prefer smaller venues and the Troubadour offers that. Between the dance floor, the bar, and the small sitting area upstairs it can't fit more than a hundred. The only complaint is the bar and the kitchen can take an eternity to get the simplest things.
