In 1973 an entire race team drove in cars of matching design - it was the first coherent team style that the sport had seen. The three coloured stripes of blue, violet and red - set against a brilliant white background - would come to characterise the image of BMW Motorsport and continue to define the look to this day. The unbeatable BMW 3.0 CSL Coupés, kitted out in these colours, soon became known to everybody in the world of motor racing, bringing home the Touring Car Grand Prix at the Nürburgring at the very first attempt. #TriviaTuesday.
