I'll be interviewing Jim on life with five kids in a 2 bedroom NYC walk-up,  his new book "Dad is Fat,"  and how he keeps it all together with a traveling career.

Watch the hangout with comedian Jim Gaffigan Friday at 9AM. I'll be interviewing Jim and we'll be talking what it's like to be a dad of 5 living in a 2 bedroom apartment, his new book "Dad is Fat," and how he manages it all and his traveling career.

I would love to hear what other men think about sex after babies. Sex after babies is the biggest conversation topic at +GreatDad.com with many many men confused about how things change after kids. In the previous generation, we spoke of men mostly as animals who "have to have it." The men we talk to talk less about lust and need to have new partners than they talk about how much they miss an intimate relationship with their spouse. The affect of a baby on a woman's career, the affect on her body (and her perception of her fading youth), and the increase in family demands are often blamed on the husband, who no matter how hard he tries, just doesn't get it. Without revealing too many personal details, what do you guys hear?

My story takes place two days after my daughter was born. On the way home from the hospital, I made my wife stop to vote (that's the kind of thoughtless things men do, right?).  I spotted a neighbor  and shared my good news.  That's when, from down the long table, I heard the voice of a wizened poll worker. "It's not about you anymore," she croaked.  It seemed like the oddest comment at the time, and especially at odds with my pride of my new #fatherhood status. But strangers often make unexpected oracles and over the years, during 2AM feedings, carpool lane, and 8AM soccer games, I've often thought about those five little words. Simple but true, it's not about you anymore, at least not in the same way.  #newdadstories

Funny how the oldest guy in the group gets the new dad forum...but I guess that comes with also being the publisher of Pregnancy Magazine. I'm talking pregnancy every day, but mostly with moms so this will be fun to reconnect with my "pregnant dad" side.

Speaking of which, our newest issue is called "The Pregnant Dad" and will be the first pregnancy issue written and edited by men." Several of this community's members have contributed stories of their memories of "the big day." To kick off this community, post a short memory you have of the big day: funniest moment, biggest surprise, driving-to-hospital story, whatever... New dads want to hear it!

I'm Paul Banas. I started GreatDad.com back in '06 when there weren't a lot of resources for dads and I felt alone at the pre-school gatherings. Great to see more dads promoting the message of involved fatherhood. We've got a long way to go though.

I'll be moderating one of the threads in this community, whatever that means.

I know most of the guys in the community so far - looking forward to meeting more.  PS: I also run Pregnancy Magazine, where next month we'll release the first pregnancy magazine issue edited and written for dads. More details to come...
