Looks like I'm not having children for a very long time....

The average family of four needs to bring in a wage of nearly $72,000 a year to make ends meet within the Central Okanagan.

Bravo.

I've seen this floating around the internet today. It is worth a reshare here.

Edit: This is one of several +Urban Legends - http://www.snopes.com/travel/airline/obnoxious.asp
Kudo's to +Erica Joy for helping locate the origin of this legend. Note that I simply think that this is an interesting story.

This happened on TAM airlines.

A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man.

Visibly furious, she called the air hostess.

"What's the problem, ma?" the hostess asked her

"Can't you see?" the lady said - "I was given a seat next to a black man. I can't seat here next to him. You have to change my seat"

"Please, calm down, ma" - said the hostess
"Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I'm still going to check if we have any."

The hostess left and returned some minutes later.

"Madam, as I told you, there isn't any empty seat in this class- economy class.
But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn't any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class."

And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued

"Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class.
However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person."

And turning to the black man, the hostess said:

"Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class..."

And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet."

We met with DJ Superdave 8 months prior to our wedding date and immediately knew that he would be the one to pull our whole wedding together! His energy and passion for music really speaks through him. We felt completely confident in his abilities to read the crowd, and know how to get the party going! Along the way, we met with Dave on a few occasions - and he even helped out our MC on how to deliver a great evening! Dave is super organized, and will keep in contact with you during the stressful wedding planning. It was nice to know that he had everything covered. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the music. The dance floor was never empty. He honoured our "do not play" list, and surprised us with some of his own mixes that people went crazy for. If you're on the hunt for a good DJ - get in touch with Dave! He's AMAZING!

We recently got married at Guisachan House, and I cannot tell you how happy we are with the experience we had! I'm particularly a person who needs to be in control - but Georg had everything taken care of. Any special request or idea that I had was taken into consideration and looked after by him and his amazing staff. Georg is basically your own personal wedding planner!! Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the 4 course meal was, and how relaxed the whole day/evening went. I'm particularly impressed with the service and special attention to our guests that each staff member gave. Not only was the plated dinner amazing, but everyone had their meal at the same time (within 5 mins) which seems like a minor detail - but when you're on a schedule, it really made the whole evening run smoothly! If you're getting married, make sure you visit Guisachan House and speak with Georg! You'll be blown away. The grounds are so much better than any picture online.

We were first time home buyers... After having some difficulties with our first Mortgage Broker, it was a nice breath of fresh air to meet with Scott and discuss our situation. Things that our previous broker told us were NOT possible, were indeed possible! Scott was very straight forward, and told us exactly how to proceed with our house purchase. It was a nice transition dealing with someone who had everything under control, and knowing that things were going to get done. We would DEFINITELY recommend Scott to anyone buying a house, especially if its your first purchase!
