One of the better views from a bar, with nice seating inside and out. It's not a huge place, and can get crowded easily. The view of the midtown skyline is not to be missed though. The drinks were good, but not spectacular and a bit strong. The home made chips with onion dip were amazing though. Pretty nice, especially for a hotel bar.

Have been to Ides a few times, each time worst then the last... amazing view but the place is going downhill. Took 10-15 minutes to get a drink on Friday night, each time we ordered, and they were at about half capacity. The music was bizarre - a tribute to Seattle grunge for 3 hours in a rooftop bar selling $15 cocktails... it's fine to like that Music but it's not the time or place for a grunge/heavy metal playlist. Overall will give this place some time to regroup before I go back - looks like they headed for change in management soon give the small crowd.

A bit modern and loud for my taste. Cocktail list wasn't bad - pleasing to see Cocchi Vermouth di Torino feature in their Americano. I assume one of the big draws here is the view, although the weather was not good the day we went, and to me the surrounding area all looked a bit dreary and uninspiring.

We went early, around 7pm and we didn't have any queue. The views are the best, we had some drinks and stayed there to see the sunset. the service were really good and the ambiance also! its a MUST!

We came here with a small group on a Thursday night. We had no trouble getting in as there was no line. Cocktails aren't bad but it's the views that are lovely. Worth coming back.

We were tempted to check out all the hype on this rooftop bar in Williamsburg. The hotel is super cool and there were lots and lots of hipsters. The rooftop has a queue usually beginning outside, then a second wait indoors, and then it's up the elevators to the 6th floor to bar. The wait for us around 4p was approximately 10 minutes at most. The drinks here were reasonable considering the view (approx. $10-13 cocktails) and you're amidst the hippy hipsters. Luckily, I was dressed a little nicer than I usually do for Williamsburg and did not feel the least bit out of place. It's a cool scene with a great view of Manhattan, but it's vibe that does not warrant an unplanned repeat visit.
