Menu

This warm and friendly Rumson establishment run by the Maguire Family will make you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Serving GastroPub cuisine & great craft beer you can catch all the sports on one of the 35 HDTVs. The main event will always be on the 80”, overlooking the main bar.

Pints of Guinness and Harp are drawn regularly in addition to many craft beers on tap to satisfy the beer lover or beer geek in us all. We boast the largest craft bottle selection in the shore. Try the hearty burgers and world renowned Uncle Joe’s Buffalo Wings prepared with 7 degrees of greatness! The fresh made flatbread pizza's fly out of the oven with new and innovative items weekly. The location nestled a stone’s throw from the ocean allows the chef access to local seafood and Jersey fresh ingredients. We also offer expertly prepared daily specials along with traditional Irish fare so you will certainly find a dish that will soon become your favorite.

There is weekly entertainment five out of seven nights that showcase some of the best acoustic and live music groups from the shore. Local favorites like The HAVEN, Brian Kirk, Client 9, Deadbank, Sundries and Black 47 frequent the stage. Tuesday nights has given rise to an eclectic and awesome OPEN Mic where local musicians come to showcase their talent. For the families, there is game/trivia night on Wednesdays where kids eat for free and the good times roll with “name that tune” to end the night. Lastly, the first and third Sunday from 6-8pm come listen to a traditional Irish Sesiun and watch local girls work on their step dance.

Always had a good experience there. Never groundbreaking but good food at a good price. Solid pub food. I just have one thing that happened tonight which was a bad call from the restaurant. My son, after finishing his kids meal of a hot dog and a few fries wanted another hot dog. I guess he was a little extra hungry tonight. I tried to order just a hot dog, no bun, no fries on a plate but was informed that I would be charged for the entire meal again. I did it, paid for it and you just lost repeat business. I had hoped you would have been more accomodating.

Response from the owner - a year ago
Kevin, Thank for the feedback and taking the time to write it. I agree with you that our staff should have been more understanding on this and we dropped the ball a little here. Normally Kathy is around to intercept this type of decision and make the right call. We will go over special requests more thoroughly in our usually staff prep meetings. We always can do better. Come in again and if Kathy is there say Hi. We will get it right. All the Best....Molly's

This place was Briody's when I first started going for a meal and or a beer, some 16 years ago. It is close enough to walk to, so we can have a drink or 2 and not worry about driving. When it was Briody's , we could get consistent quality food and great service every time. Not high scale stuff, just good food and service. I think the owner passed away and family members tried to carry on running the place. Unfortunately, with this , the place started going down hill. Not fast, but gradually the place lost it's roots. We started going less, as we were getting less satisfaction with the place. The last straw for the old Briody's for me was a queen cut steak, that looked and tasted like re-heated last njghts dinner. We never went again. The place closed not too long after. It was all re-furbished and we were looking forward to another good place to eat and drink. When it re opened we were very happy with the new interior and the food was good for a local bar and grill. The service was a little disappointing. Sometimes fantastic service and next time poor. Now please be aware, that we would go once or twice a week to this place, so we are not a one time review. Again, after not very long at all, we started going less, and looking, and going further afield for our dinning needs. One other close place started getting us more often. Then it was Molly Maguire,s...... We were hoping, and also a little praying that this time it will be good. We tried it out a few times and found the same menu, which was OK, good burgers and bar food, with a few more classy dishes, but they still had unsatisfactory service. Now please be aware that I am talking about the 'restaurant' side of this place, not the bar. After a while, once again the food and service of this place started going down again. I have had one waitress at this place, that every time I have had her, she gets our order wrong, and gives a very low standard of service, I can not understand how she is still employed there. If I had a penny in my pocket, the last time I took my family there for dinner, That would have been her tip. Now for the new Molly M's. They must have decided that food and dinning are no longer a factor in their business. The new menu is lame, over priced, and not at all appetizing. On my last and more than likely 'Last' visit we had the pre mentioned waitress. Guess what?.....my hungry little girl had to wait for her meal, because the "waitress' got her order wrong, I laughed, as it was totally expected from me that this would happen. Now here is what I think. Get some real staff and attentive staff, taking care of the dinner's(some there are ok) and get some real food. Hey, go back to the old menu at the least. Also get some one that can cook! On my last visit I ordered the Molly,, burger, medium, bacon and some cheese sauce standard. It came well done, one little piece of bacon, and the cheese sauce was all but burnt and solidified to the top of the burger. If your place can not cook a burger, you should go out gracefully. Now the bar, and the bar staff have always been good. This place has some good entertainment and draws some good crowds. On occasion I go for the bands and have a great time, and am very pleased with the bar and band side of the place. BBBut, I still want a good, affordable place to run down the road for dinner. Please, if you can't cook a burger.....................!!!!!!! BigDaddy likes to walk for his food and beer. If you do well with the bar and bands, justs stay with that and offer bad bar food. If you want to be a local, go to place for dinner, and a bar, you have to get some help! Respectfully, BigDaddy.

Went there on a Thursday after work for dinner and drinks. Food was awesome. Onion ring appetizers were delicious, wait staff was friendly, and most important the environment was quiet and clean. We will definitely be going back!
