Over the next few days I intend to document some of my little technical excursions, mostly looking a GNU/Linux, LAMP setup, and Python. Essentially, contemplate the most fun you could possibly have, and then imagine that me waxing lyrical on such matters will be even more enjoyable.

It will, i'm almost certain :P

One of my pet peeves (and yes, I've got a lot of them) is how my grocery store that carries high-quality groceries also is all crazy about homeopathy. Apparently there s a sad overlap between "I like my foods not overly processed" and "I am a big moron when it comes to medicine".

Guys, Homeopathy is a scam. And when even the manufacturers know that and try to make their products actually do something by adding real medicine into it, you have to ask yourself just how stupid you have to be to believe these jokers/scammers.
They actually contain ingredients for a change, and that could be harmful.

Whilst listening to this Vol. 2 Epic Legendary Intense Massive Heroic Vengeful Dramatic Music Mix - 1 Hour Long - great name I thought - I noticed that one of the comments is ironically the funniest Youtube comment I have ever read.

I spent the day at #TedxSalford yesterday. It was an excellent day by and large, with, in my humble opinion, the most interest interesting speeches given by Aubrey de Grey and Joanne Harris. The livestream is still available here http://new.livestream.com/tedx/salford/videos/34484733

The first two speakers did leave a lot to be desired though and, as a side note, should you ever meet this women (http://www.rachelelnaugh.com/) it would be sensible to smile politely and then quickly walk, very fast, in the opposite direction.

Ubuntu has turned 9 years old. I am hugely proud of all the achievements over the years from our community and how Ubuntu is evolving towards convergence across client devices and convergence across multiple clouds. Many thanks to the thousands of contributors across the world who have made Ubuntu what it is and made the Ubuntu family such a pleasant one to be around. +OMG! Ubuntu! created a rather nice info-graphic summarizing much of this evolution....
