Noooooo! Just when I was seeing some stability in the Google Local Places Plus nightmare, it is again "improved." So far the improvement has given me one duplicate listing. I hope that's it. Here's the email I just received. #google #googleplaces #local

Hello,

We’d like to inform you that Google Places no longer accommodates more than one authorized owner per business location. Your account contains one or more listings that have been identified as duplicates of other listings and as a result, some of the information you provide will not be shown to Google users anymore.

To get more information or request access to the other listings, please log into your Google Places account.

Sincerely,
The Google Places Team

Does anyone know specifically where the "people are talking about" content comes from on the local places business pages?

Yes - it's solid 100% with proper category, relevant description and landing page. Problem is in the way Google integrates external reviews. If you look at "Reviews from around the web" the sites listed there often have no reviews for the business. The "people are talking" blurb under the "Review Summary" should be pulling terms from actual reviews. Unfortunately if Google can't find reviews it likes (apparently Yelp is not good enough, but merchant circle is) it puts in garbage terms, which is counterproductive.

After eight months of searching for the perfect property in the Santa Cruz mountains, my wife and I just completed that purchase. This would not have been possible without the expertise of our Realtor, Rex Kuns. He personally researched the history of each property we considered, providing photographs, inspections and written reports of county permits. His diligence and knowledge helped us avoid bad situations on more than one occasion. His prompt response to emails, text and phones calls kept us up to date on changes in the housing market. His negotiating skills always put our offer in first place in all 3 of the multiple offer situations we were in. When we finally found the right house, Rex negotiated the price, section one items and closing dates. The transaction was completed with respect and integrity for both the buyer and seller. We highly recommend Rex Kuns for his professional experience and personal touch as a Realtor.
