If I were you, I wouldn't even THINK about eating there....we made that mistake tonight. Why, you ask? Here's a few reasons for you: 1) The server doesn't know how to serve the food...he literally had his armpit on my straw as he was reaching over and across the table. 2) The soup tasted like a dirty sponge. 3) The shrimp tasted like a dirty sponge. 4) Dammit...the tea tasted the same way! 5) Ever had to navigate through the bathroom because of a HUGE urine puddle in the middle? 6) My family and I all felt sick no more than 30 minutes afterwards....we're all barfing and crapping our brains out. In closing: there's better Chinese Restaurants out there. I've eaten worst things in Africa and other 3rd world countries, but didn't get as sick as I got from eating here...this must be a record. Nevertheless, it's plain to see that a resturaunt that was once "Best in the Bay" in 2011 has lost it's care for their cuisine and (ultimately) their patrons. I will never eat there again.

Although the food at this location is very good, the service is fair, at best! The crowds they get are not handled appropriately.... They are disorganized with seating and handling their customers. I left the restaurant due to this issue recently.

I love Chinese food and have eaten it all over the world. Yummy House is not Chinese Food but a poor interpretation of what Americans believe Chinese food should be. Since it was lunch I ordered just 2 dishes. Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Kung Bao Chicken. I should have known when the shrimp arrived I made a mistake in lunch choices. If I wanted shrimp swaddled in half inch thick breading I would have gone to Long John Silvers. There was virtually no pepper, hot pepper or flavor. But I endured. Kung Bao chicken is my measure of a Chinese Restaurant. I did not expect the mainland China version but something akin to what is called New York Style. What I got was a plate of lukewarm chicken and over done vegetables in a nondescript brown sauce mingled with peanuts. No smoked la'jiao, no hint of hoisin, Sichuan peppers, no green onions, and where the heck was the ginger. If you want something close to real Chinese food try the Ho Ho Choy on Fletcher - but avoid the Yummy House - unless you like breading.

Love this place. Have eaten at the one in Bradenton and the one in East Tampa. Fantastic every time. Salt and pepper calamari is AWESOME.

Yummy House is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Tampa. The food is authentic, you can bring your own wine or other liquor, and the prices are VERY reasonable. It gets crowded, but it's worth the wait! It is short on atmosphere, but if you want more atmosphere with the same food (minus bringing your own spirits), choose the one on Hillsborough Avenue--their newer location. Cheers!

Rumor has it, this place is good. I did not find it to be that though. It was overpriced & ridiculously bland. I did not think it was possible for Chinese food to lack so much flavor. Obviously, I only had one dish, so perhaps it just happened to be the not so good one. Oh well. I love Chinese food and would definitely pay good money for it (actually have paid way too much for good hot and sour soup) but this was completely not worth it, unfortunately.

Very fresh and tasty. My favorite is the salt and pepper calamari, lightly breaded and has a delicious sweet and spicy garlic topping. Shrimp and broccoli has a nice garlic sauce and broccoli is cooked perfectly.

The great food definitely makes up for the fair service. The best Chinese food in Florida! I drive from Orlando just to eat there!
