Came for dinner and had the salmon. Tasty but not the best I've ever had. The bread they start you with is not paired with butter, but with cauliflower hummus. Pretty interesting combination. The escargot was decent, but again it wasn't the best. Strong wine and beer list. I typically order dessert, but their first dessert on the menu was chocolate covered pretzels. What a turn off to lead off the dessert menu with that. It's a decent place for dinner, but don't set your expectations too high.

Great addition to the neighborhood! We LOVE Dale! The menu is broad and not daunting, but definitely has some great frills. Just tried the cassoulet the other night and it was that perfect blend of basic flavors and pops of herbs that you would expect in French country cooking.

This place was great when they opened up. But, the traffic has died down significantly. However, they do have great food and the staff is pleasant. Traffic could increase if they advertised more in the neighborhood.

I gave this place 2 tries. I wanted to like it, but their food was only ok. I was never that impressed, but the food is good. Just not great. For what you pay, I'll go elsewhere.

The food was overpriced and frankly didn't taste all that good, the service was sub par. It took the server 45 min after the table was cleared to bring the check, then another 30 min to bring my card back. We wont ever be eating there again. Go next door, it's a much better experience, the food is better, the service has been great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Fried frog leg?! That are full of water yet dry!? Cassoulet very salty and with an odd taste of sea food?! The decor is very plain and standard almost like a regular dinner. With a dark theme. You should pass.... 2good news though: . nice beers... . the staff is good.

Another Chicago Top Chef Alum, I really like the brunch they have at Frog n Snail. Again this is in my neighborhood so it make getting there very easy. The house mage ginger ale is great you can customize it with different flavors. The shrimp and grits is a great way to start your day as well as the bacon and cereal monte cristo. The coffee is never ending which is nice in a Sunday morning after a long week of work. They also have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice on a good weather Chicago day. This is a newer restaurant and of course there are gonna be a few hiccups , but I think they are well on their way to being a great restaurant in the Lakeview area.
