I don't know where you are dear reader, but here it's definitely summer! Which means it's that time again: temperatures are warm, magazines are sharing photos of celebrities in swimsuits, and being in the water feels quite tempting... It can all cause us to feel a bit self-conscious about our bodies that are normally more covered up. But have no fear, your friend Jessica is here! I've personally been confronted with these thoughts recently when trying on wedding dresses. Even though I'm convinced of the value of loving our bodies the way they are, sometimes this can be hard in practice. So here are five practical ways to become more body confident!

Hi there friends! Welcome to edition four of my interviews with inspiring women series! This week I am sharing my friend Many's answers to my questions. I've known Many for I believe seven years now - eek! We became friends when we were both working for an organisation that empowered university students to take charge of their professional future. One of its mottos was "j'entreprends ma vie", which loosely translates as "I take charge of my life". We still use it jokingly, but Many is definitely living it!

How do you start your days? There's a reason why successful people are asked about their morning routines. Organising your morning for joy and achievement creates structure and sets the tone for the day. Having a morning routine in place also frees up your mental bandwidth, so you can still have some energy to think about important things later in the day. I'll walk you through three types of morning routines and the change I made recently, as well as what you can do to develop or upgrade your own morning routine!

Welcome to my new series, “Interviews with inspiring women“. Now for its third edition: an interview with my "little" sister Lauren! I write "little" because she is in fact taller than me and wise beyond her years. Read on for her insights, life lessons and a cute picture of us as little girls!

I have been to Amsterdam twice: once as a single person wanting to experience it all & have some fun; and then as a responsible PhD student accompanying undergraduate students on a fieldtrip. They were both very different, but rewarding experiences. Which proves that whatever you're into or mood you're in, there's something for you in Amsterdam! And I would definitely say that it is one of the most beautiful and funnest cities to visit in Europe. Read on for my top recommendations to make the most of your trip to Amsterdam!

Welcome to my new series, "Interviews with inspiring women". You can find my first interview, with my mum, here. This second interview is with my coach, Jocelyne Clémençon. Jocelyne works full time and manages to also have an impressive "side hustle", do karate and still be a very cheerful person! She has been a kind and encouraging influence in my life these past few months. I hope you too will enjoy what she has to say!

Hello friends! I have moved from my monthly recap to a quarterly recap, but I'm hoping that you'll find some value in this format too. Either you know me and you're curious about what I am up to, and/or you can use this as inspiration to "check in" with yourself at regular times.
