Growing up in Houston, I lived at Funplex. Kids love this place because it's a large playhouse. You can go bowling, ride the ferris wheel and roller skate in the same building. Once frequented by Beyonce in her youth, Funplex was the place to be as a kid. If you're looking to take your kids to a fun, interactive place or just young-at-heart, i definitely recommend dropping by Funplex.

20+ games are out of order or just not working. It's sad that there is no one on duty to fix the games. Ever other game I wanted to play was temporarily down. This is very unprofessional and displeasing. The skating rink floor has craters. When skating you must stay closer to the center of the rink or risk epic doom. If the place was fixed up and ran smoother, it would have great potential. I'd rather go to Dave & Busters.

Horrible. Balls kept getting stuck. Waited 45 minutes out of 2 hours for ball return. Managers kept getting "bothered" that they had to push them through after every round. Wouldnt change us to another lane nor refund. Never again.

Good to see they renovated the place recently. A few years ago it was in dire need of it. Nice when compared to Main Event or Chuck E Cheese's. Main Event does not have the variety of attractions, is loud, and not as young kid friendly. Chuck E Cheese's is kid friendly, but not as big or as much things to do. Prices are reasonable by 2014 standards and service was friendly. Noticed sanitizing stations all around which was nice with a young child. Rides worked fine, movie theater appeared to be under renovations but everything else was in operation. However, read of potential fire code violations.

I haven't been to Funplex since I was a kid, and man, it's lit up like a pinball game, the entrance was pretty sweet looking, bowling after a day racing go karts is a Friday I look forward to again. I can't wait to try laser tag.

went on Saturday evening with hubby & son. This place is huge! Lots of games, rides & attractions, especially for the little ones. Cool arcade games, but overpriced compared to other places we've been. I like that you can do it all under one roof, and it's all indoors. Love, Love the ferris wheel! My son (3 yrs) absolutely had a BLAST in the playport, which surpasses other places we've been. Staff was very friendly, especially the girl who worked the booth where play cards are bought... (forgot her name.) She was top notch in customer service. Although we didn't bowl, the bowling alley was large & up to date. The only negative for us was the gokarts. OMG! The reason for 4 stars, instead of 5. We waited in line for 1hr and 10 mins. SERIOUSLY! The line really didn't appear long. We finally realized they were only running 3 karts (2 singles 1 double) but my son REALLY wanted to ride and already invested 45 mins into wait time. We rode together in double kart...slowest double kart I've ever driven!! I've seen some negative reviews in the past so was a bit leery to bring my toddler, but the place seemed very family oriented to me. Definitely will come back but will keep the gokarts OFF our "to do" list.
