Congratulations to our 2012 winners!

Red Tentacle (Novel): Nick Harkaway's Angelmaker (William Heinemann)

Golden Tentacle (Debut): Karen Lord's Redemption in Indigo (Jo Fletcher Books)

Inky Tentacle (Cover Art): Dave Shelton's A Boy and a Bear in a Boat, illustrated by the author (David Fickling Books)

The Black Tentacle, the discretionary prize for an outstanding contribution to the conversation surrounding genre literature, was awarded to The World SF Blog

The 2012 winners received a total of £2,000 in prize money and their own cuddly & iconic Tentacle trophies. All the finalists received bottles of The Kraken Rum. 

Thanks to all of the finalists and judges, and to everyone who submitted books for consideration.

In the light of Anne Perry's new role in publishing, we've revised the 2012 judging panels. Rebecca Levene, Patrick Ness and Jared Shurin will continue with the Red and Golden Tentacles. Gary Northfield, Lauren O'Farrell and Ed Warren will be judging the Inky Tentacle!
