This is such a fun place to dine at for everyone. I don't know if I would recommend it for little children, because the pit is in the middle of the table and if they are unruly or just young, it can get messy with the hot grill. The atmosphere is enjoyable to dine in. The service is excellent. The food is to die for! Must have the Garlic Chicken Noodles. Even if you don't like chicken, you will love this! You MUST like Garlic, though! Green Tea Crepe for dessert..mmmm so yummy! Ends the entire dinner so well! The meats are prime cuts. Get two or three meats per person, a vegetable if you want to share, the Chicken Garlic Noodles and an appetizer if you want. It will be more than enough food for everyone! If you hit happy hour and you are really hungry...go for it! Order more. The prices can't be beat! I will definitely return and already have recommended to so many people!

I love the food at gyu kaku and gave a great review to the midtown location, however I don't like this location nearly as well. I found this location to be dark and dingy and the service was terrible. My friend and I ordered beer at the beginning of the meal and then it just never came. When we pointed it out the server acted like it was no big deal and didn't offer us a discount or free dessert or anything to make up for it. I won't be returning.

The best time to go is during happy hour. If you can get two rounds of grilling in before happy hour ends, you've made a good investment. The meat cuts are thin and very nice for fast grilling. Their desserts are adorable -- S'mores from the grill! The staff was also very attentive in making sure the grill was working properly and was cleaned often.

Loved eating here. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was just right. Lights dimmed to just the perfect level giving the place an intimate feel. Try their Milles Crepes dessert. It is divine!

The service is great and the and the food is awesome. It is a little expensive but it is worth the money. A great place to go to when celebrating something. I like that you can grill your own meat. There are small grills in each table which make it fun to cook and eat at the same time.
