Expensive experience but well worth it if you do it with a group or decide to stop in for a quick bite during happy hour. You're sure to leave home satisfied either way you cut it. The ambiance is typically festive and packed with, not surprisingly Asians, and more often students from Cooper Union or NYU, but don't let the dissuade you from having a great time either way.

It was a great experience at first, but our waiter was mean and he really pushed us through the courses and even mixed up the group courses for our table. It was also my friends birthday and he rudely told a person in our party that he couldn't sing unless we purchased a dessert. That wouldn't have been a big deal if he hadn't said it in front of the birthday girl(It was supposed to be a surprised). The food was great, but would not come back after the terrible service experience we had.

This place is a great place for a fun lunch. It's a great place to take visitors or clients. You get to grill your food on your table and at the end you get smores! You can't beat smores at the end of a meal. It's also good for vegetarians because there are a lot of veggies that you can also grill as well as chicken, beef and seafood. Lunch is the best deal but you need extra time because you get caught up on cooking your food and lose track of time. I recommend giving yourself at least an hour and a half. But its worth the extra time.

Great BBQ place. The appetizers were good, got the cucumber and the wings. Very tasty. The cuts of meat were very flavorful. Definitely get the Kalbi and the duck. I don't recommend the garlic marinade a bit too overpowering garlic flavor. Also, I wish the waiter recommended the pairing of the sauces to the different meats and marinades. It was sort of trial and error.

Awesome atmosphere. I was a party of 6 and we had such a great time that did not break the bank. Our server Lukas deserves a raise, he handled us with such patience. My only complaint holding back the 5th star...it was quite warm with all of the grills.

Love Gyu-Kaku , first time I went was for my daughters sweet 16 dinner with the family and the set up, staff and food was awesome. today went back for the second time with the family tried something new because I had the fried calamari last time and delicious. I had the fried beacon chips and garlic noodles which I did not know had ground chicken in it because the menu does not mention it I can not complain. The prices are very cheap and well worth it. Hope you enjoy this spot as much as my family and I do !!!!

We came here for a quick bite before we hit the Broadway show. I wish we had more time so we could try their Japanese BBQ, as I never have experienced it. It's usually sushi, noodle, and izakaya-type stuff as I know of Japanese food. To order the BBQ, the process takes a while since it requires you to grill at the table. This is similar style to eating Korean food. Since we opted out ordering BBQ, we had the Bibimbap, steamed shrimp chili dumpling, edamame and miso soup. The Bibimbap was cooked in an iron bowl and it was very tasty and had good seasonings added into it. The shrimp dumplings were also good with the chili sauce which gave it a kick. They also have a dried seaweed appetizer with toasted sesame seeds. It also was tasty. This is a great place to dine in either with a group of friends or a date. It is on the 2nd floor overlooking 3rd Ave in Midtown. Great view for people watching if you grab a window seat.
