Labour Force Survey 2014 - Almost 10 million part-time workers in the EU would have preferred to work more - Two-thirds were women

Among the 44.1 million persons in the European Union (EU) working part-time in 2014, 9.8 million were under-employed meaning they wished to work more hours and were available to do so. This corresponds to 22.2% of all part-time workers and 4.5% of total employment in the EU in 2014. The large majority of part-time workers being underemployed in the EU were women (67%).

I bet near on 100% wished they were paid more and of those 2/3rds - how many were underpaid for the level of work they were doing and with that.  Do they want more work or more money?

7 million?  So if somebody went outside the EU twice in one year would they count twice?

Also those EU citizens who were given a EU nationality and then thought, hey Syria is a nice place - we counting them?  Or was there EU citizenship they claimed as being persecuted being revoked as they now fight for IS?

More details please +European Union

#NepalEarthquake - The European Commission is making available €3 million in its immediate response to the vast devastation caused by the earthquake that hit Nepal on Saturday. This comes in addition to the assistance from the Member States and the deployment of European Commission's humanitarian aid and civil protection experts to the crisis area.

The EU Civil Protection Mechanism has been activated. Through it, Member States, including Belgium, Finland, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Poland and Sweden immediately offered urgently needed search and rescue teams, water purification systems and technical assistance. Other Member States have also expressed their willingness to help. The European Commission can co-finance the transport of EU aid to Nepal.

Sad they are upon a terribly laid out site and ability to access raw data seems very obviated as this example highlights http://oecdinsights.org/2015/04/01/oecd360-how-does-your-country-compare/

Statistics - no, lots of graphs or arbitrary value - yes :|

+European Union were upon the site are the raw statistics?

Few questions please I'd love to see answered +European Union

Why are power companies allowed to charge a flat rate standing charge that clearly is not a true cost to the individual and subsiding others?

Why are standing charges not based upon usage and with that fair wear and tear/improvement costs born by those driving them?

Why given the above does the current system favour high-fuel users price wise over those who use less and with that more responsible?
