To All Muru Friends
As the date for the final ‘Have Your Say Penrith Lakes Parkland Vision Plan’ submissions are due tomorrow, 30 April 2015, we encourage you to go to the www.haveyoursay.nsw.gov.au/consultations/future-of-penrith-lakes and simply write down what you would like to see included in a final plan for the Penrith Lakes Parkland.

The NSW government is encouraging a community vision about how any infrastructure, cultural and natural heritage and environmental assets at Penrith Lakes can be managed in the public interest.

In any event, Muru Mittigar Ltd will continue our usual operations from our current site for as long as possible or if necessary at some point in the future due to expansion or operational efficiencies, from alternate sites.

Muru Mittigar has attracted over 100,000 students, visitors/ tourists and other Indigenous groups from across Australia, valuable service revenue and employment to the Penrith LGA, all from our current residence.

We will be seeking any forms of support by the community, Penrith City Council and other government agencies or like-minded benefactors to help secure an arrangement which enables Muru Mittigar to continue its work, develop and contribute a cultural and environmentally-sustainable vision for the Parkland and remain an important self-supporting asset to the Penrith LGA and community.

Thank you again for your ongoing support, it is very humbling to our organisation to have such overwhelming support during this period.
