Even though I love the education field sometimes things happen that are just out of your control.  I shut down the review site and yes because the site had a very intense review layout it did not do bad.  But keeping up with three pages, four websites, and a host of social networks is rough.

So I shut down the website, and as you can see I have not posted here in quite sometime.  As a matter of fact even my co-owner never got in touch with me to ask what happen to the site, and it's been almost two years since I deleted it!

I deleted it because the interest was good, but not one million plus good.  But the site did have 2500 pageviews plus per week.  When I released a new review I was having 1100+ views in just one day.

The reviews I did on the tools and the websites for education were called spectacular, superb.   I had many to email me and say that my reviews were the best they had ever seen.   But the cost, and upkeep of the site was through the roof. There was only me doing all of this.

For one person to upkeep if you plan to do this yourself and have a very thorough review on the subjects then you must have more than one person.  I was doing interviews, testing, searching, posting, grading, then keeping up with G+ for which I had 5 accounts/pages and Twitter etc.  I was just overwhelmed.

sorry it had to go.

When a child moves from elementary school to middle school the child has to know how to do basic math and reading in order to do the algebra and geometry in middle school.   This is what they should test for in elementary school.  Just test to be sure they can read, and do basic math.

Forget the common core test because I hated it when trying to help my Grandchildren.  Oh gosh did I hate it.  My Grandchildren hated it too.  It literally turn school from a learning experience into your worst nightmare.  It was a bad time of the year.

But reading and math basics are necessary for a child to succeed in middle school and high school.  If a child does not have the basics under their belt, they will not succeed.

BELOW: This is what is happening all over the US.  I understand why, and I don't blame the parents one bit for feeling this way.  Go through the links on this page.

Supporters of Common Core have encountered a public relations nightmare recently thanks to technical glitches, student boycotts and a slew of irate parents who are refusing to allow their children to

Dear friends,

I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by October 24, 2014, the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

You can view and sign the petition here:

Here's some more information about this petition:

Unite the world and give peace a chance with an education week

Educate the world and give peace a chance by educating people of all ages what and whom are the terrorist. This is a worldwide education to teach what real radical terrorist are doing to our planet. This is to take place in the near future and endorsed and carried out by all nations. Education is one of our best weapons to fight the so called religious radicals. Please Mr. President; unite the world and give peace a chance with an terrorist education week so that no more families have to learn their child/ family member joined a terrorist radical group under false pretensions. Thank You!

Get rid of non accredited schools.  If you can't transfer the credits then the school/college can't accept any type of student loans.  No federal government funding for non accredited colleges and clean out these colleges offering unmarketable degrees to students that are paying full tuition on a degree that will get them nowhere.

Sheesh the US really needs to clean up their act this is appalling, and not acceptable behaviour from any college regardless if you are for profit or not colleges should be able to transfer credits and if you can't then get out of the business.

Whitney Barkley says many for-profit colleges deceive students, charge exorbitant tuition and make false promises, and Corinthian is one of the worst.

After finding these math hacks, I'm convinced that all those years of being forced to struggle through math class really was just a torture ploy created by evil math teachers everywhere. Check out these amazing math tips and you'll agree! Watch out though, you may just unleash the inner math ...

Well summer time has just become interesting.  Parents pick one and let your child pick one.  I don't see anything that would break the bank.   Enjoy!

http://www.babble.com/crafts-activities/25-at-home-science-experiments/
Now that the kids are almost on summer break it's time to start planning those daily activities. My biggest predicament is trying to find activities that I don't feel are completely mindless (gotta keep those synapses firing, right?). What better activity to do with them than a fun science experiment? Learn all about the crystallization…

Story
Tagline
We help teachers/professors by creating the tools, pictures, and Apps, they need to succeed in the classroom.
Introduction

I am an Online Educational Professional Specialist.  I have taught beginners computer online for twelve years.  I know the front and back hand of what works, and what doesn't.  I have helped many to get started in the tutorial business.  Setting up forums, websites, blogs, and even checking out tutorials they have created that for some reason did not work well with their members

Now I would like to show teachers who work for schools and colleges, and those just wanting to learn how it’s done on how to inspire their students to learn.  This is a new area for teachers to embark on.  Online we have done it for years.

Shine on Education is an one of a kind page that helps educators with the tools, pictures, APPs, and even snippets of code they need to succeed in their classroom.

Teachers and Professors can message me with their needs in the digital world, and we do our best to help them find someone here on Google+.

Pictures:

Pictures for digital books are hard to come by.  Many want to nickle and dime the educators to the point they are about to give up on trying to have content online for their students.  Those few pictures on the Internet are over used, not very good quality,  cartoon looking, not what they are looking for as far as subject, or the picture is just a picture, and not a object.

We are going to change this by having a place so that Photographers, and artist can create the pictures, and objects that teachers and Professors need.

APPS

Teachers and Professors are in need of APPS to help them out with their class needs.  I hope the creators even if they set a price on these, they will still be very very affordable.  Having free ones would be a great help as well.

Snippets

Hopefully these will be free.  Sometimes a software only does certain things.  Some educators need for it to do more.  These will be open source hopefully.

To Teachers, Professors, anyone that is in charge of educating anyone of any age.  This is your playground.  This is your tool.

You will be able to use these different tools in web-pages, classrooms, digital textbooks, presentations, videos, slides, and hopefully soon on cell phones.

I hope to see this grow into a very helpful tool that educators everywhere will be proud of.

Please circle this page, and give education a helping hand.  Share with those you feel would be interested in such a project.

Thank you!
