L'Apicio is awesome! The interior is very trendy, young and hip. The food is really great as well. The pasta Tajarin and the Tuscan fries were freshly made, the cocktails were just okay, and the waiter really knew how to form lasting relationships with patrons. Bring a date or go for a special occasion.

A fantastic array of appetizers and contorni make for fun sharing ahead of delicious and balanced pastas. Definitely go for the Polentas, particularly the short ribs and pork meatballs- just incredible! However, the food can be over-seasoned with salt. Go for your heavier, rustic Italian dishes - especially in a place named for Italy's most famous recipe creator!

L'Apicio has very tasty food and the portions are a great size. For appetizers, we had gotten a cheese appetizer and dinner we got the chicken and pork chops. We also go the hazelnut ice cream/cake for dessert which was delicious. I loved all of the food at the restaurant. I just wished there was more of a selection on the menu. The atmosphere was also very intimate and romantic, great for dates or dinner with friends.

From the chef behind Dell'Anima, you're sure to have a great meal here - whether it's the lamb shank hash for brunch, or any of the fresh pastas for dinner. Try to snag an outside table if possible!

Great modern italian. Pasta is cooked to perfection and some unusual flavor combinations take it to another level. Service can be a bit judgmental but one might just get over it since the food is so good.

Was there this past weekend and had outstanding service. Before coming here we were at another restaurant and stood around in the bar area for ~10 minutes and no one ever talked to us because we didn't have a seat. Coming here, we hung around in the bar for about 2-3 minutes and someone came up and offered to take our drink order. Later, once we had sat down, we ordered wine and our waiter recommended that we consider an alternative because he thought this wine in particular was a bad batch. We sampled what we originally ordered and he was right, we went with his recommendation and ended up having a great wine. I'd definitely go here again!

Mediocre food, drafty/crowded location, and rushed service. Their "sister" restaurants (L'Artusi and Dell Anima) are excellent, but this place is several notches below. Salad was poor quality, polenta was salty, desserts were just "meh" (ice cream cake?). Service was professional but they are clearly instructed to rush you out to turn the tables quickly (check delivered with dessert?).

I appreciated the decor of L'Apicio the most but even then it felt a little cramped. I was disappointed with the food and the service. I must have ordered the wrong things because my dining companions enjoyed their meals more. I had the overcooked hake, sour Brussel sprouts and the average garganelle pasta. Appetizers were the saving grace - cheese plate and arancini. The server took forever to refill my wine and they were confused up front.
