I'd be delighted to join up with anyone researching my/our family, especially since the stories told over the years have come from different angles but carried the same theme, depending on the family member who told it.  I was lucky that my grandmother, Queen, lived to age 107 and had so many stories to tell.  I can be reached on jcfamilyties5@gmail.com.

If you enjoyed this story about one branch of the Custer family, you might want to check out the legends describing the lives of Jonathan Custer, Nicholas Seilhamer, Richard Wilson, John Seilhamer, Thomas Ward Custer, "A Custer Woman", Olaf Persson Stihl and the Yocum family.  Such an interesting family!!

If you would be interested in reading more stories about the Dickersons in Legends of the Family you might look at: Hiram Dickerson,  William Smith Dickerson, Queen Rebecca Dickerson (Franklin), Anne Sapcote (a countess in King Henry VIII's court) and William David Stewart (a TV reporter murdered on assignment)
