Veronica Montalvo has played an integral role in the significant and sustained growth of the Online Education Institute of Post University. Since joining the University in 2005, she has grown the Enrollment Management department from one Admissions Counselor to nearly 300 Enrollment Professional Counselors.
She currently oversees the Admissions, Academic Advising, Tuition Planning, Corporate Partnerships and Administrative Support Services for the University’s accelerated degree programs. Under her guidance, enrollment has gone from fewer than 100 students to more than 11,000 today.
Montalvo is a recognized expert in identifying, hiring, and providing training and development to young professionals. She considers herself a coach and mentor to all of her employees, which contributes to their proven ability to provide superior customer service, coaching and direction to the University’s adult student population.
Having interviewed thousands of potential job candidates, Montalvo is an expert at preparing for job interviews – both as the interviewer and the interviewee. She is an expert motivator who specializes in integrity, consultative, and relationship sales. She believes her teams’ success is a direct result of working for an innovative and reputable institution, hiring and believing in great people, and training them to accurately represent the University’s offerings.
She has been a member of CALAHE: CT Association of Latino’s in Higher Ed, NSHMBA: National Society of Hispanics MBAs, and NEAAC: New England Association of Admission Counselors. Among the accolades received, Ms. Montalvo was selected for the Hartford Business Journal’s 2012 “40 Under Forty” awards, which recognizes outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area who are excelling in their industries through their leadership roles.
Montalvo began her professional career as a recruiter for some of the top software technology companies both in the U.S. and Latin America. In 2002, Montalvo combined her passion for education with her recruiting and human resources skills and experience to pursue a career in Higher Education Admissions.
Montalvo earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1996, and her master’s degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College in 2005. She speaks fluent Spanish and lives in Connecticut.
