Putting this out there to all of you. I would be over the moon at this point if anyone can help. (added photos to pretty it up ;) )

I am currently looking for a full-time job. I have been looking for a couple of months as I am also in the process of moving apartments here in NYC over the next few months and it's been...a daunting process. I have been freelance for the last 10 years with a semi-unique career in many respects. I don't fit the cookie-cutter template in terms of traditional experience.

I am looking for my next creative home (truly). I am mainly interested in roles that revolve around creative production, creative strategy, marketing/engagement, and I also would love some kind of junior art direction position if those exist.

Background:

My background is in leading the strategy, design, production, and marketing of artistic projects. I have a love and understanding of all phases of the design process from design strategy to brainstorming and ideation to concept development and execution. I adore being a team player and collaborating across all organizational levels.

My experience is across most types of media, from point of sale to print to TV to branded content to digital to social media. I'm open to new opportunities in advertising and branded content creation and am intensely passionate about the future of new media especially in regards to augmented reality and virtual reality.

I spent the last decade building my art career from scratch resulting in a following of around 500,000 people across all social media, a traditional book deal resulting in two internationally published and best-selling photography books, a multi-year financial sponsorship with a major imaging brand, and much more.

What I am interested in and where I see myself since I consider this leap, the actual next part of my career:

I have been looking mainly at ad agencies, major brands, media/PR agencies, as well as the bigger fish out there. It's been difficult since it feels most days like my applications/CV sharing doesn't actually go anywhere. I have also been trying the recruiter route but have had lukewarm experiences in that arena.

My first comment here will have my relevant info but if you need more, I am more than happy to message you back with info.

(I did post this to a select list but figured it wouldn't hurt to put this out there in more of a major way.)

My skill-set + experience can be found here:

If you can't help but know someone who can, I would appreciate that as well.

HUGE NEWS!!! My book: New York in the Snow comes out worldwide TOMORROW!!!!!

Here: bit.ly/newyorkinthesnow

In all major stores (Target, Walmart, front table in most Barnes and Nobles, and most indie stores + online in the U.S. and in all major and indie store in the U.K.)

🤗🎆🎇🎆🤗

Context:

Back in 2010, I barely had enough money to clothe myself properly in the winter. That never really bothered me since I had grown up in similar financial circumstances. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary to not be prepared for bad circumstances.

The one thing I did have in abundance were dreams: dreams at night that I would look forward to every day, dreams that got me through the darkest moments. A dream that played on the back of my eyelids over and over again was of one of the first snowstorms in my memory from when I was a child. That feeling was the warm cozy light at night making life a little less cold.

I had only been taking photos for a few months as a habit to erase the stress of quitting working 7 days a week/10-14 hours a day for a decade all to take out loans to go to college and finish a degree I had to abandon in my early 20s because of life: life that stung most days of defeat, exhaustion, survival. .

It started to snow and I ran out of my apartment in jeans, old sneakers, a thin sweater, ripped cloth gloves, a ratty old scarf and walked a few miles uptown to Central Park from where I lived on the Lower East Side because I couldn't justify spending money on a train ride.

There weren't many people in the park that day because those first few snowflakes turned into a blizzard with 60 mph wind gusts and blowing ice and snow. My hands and legs got drenched quickly in the snowdrifts and frostbite threatened my face and fingertips more times than I can count. I didn't care though.

I just wanted to step into my dreams for once. .

And I did.

This is one of the photos I took that day. I didn't know anything about photography and probably knew even less about how to use my camera.

I just knew what I wanted to capture: that feeling of pure, unadulterated wonder.

HUGE NEWS!!!!!!! My book is releasing worldwide on Sept 5, 2017 and is NOW available for pre-order!

U.S. it's here to pre-order - > http://bit.ly/newyorkinthesnow

Live elsewhere? ALL info and links here to order -> http://bit.ly/nyinthesnowbook

Here is a teaser of me flipping through the first ever copy of it today :) :) :) (info below!)

I have been photographing every snowstorm in NYC for the last 6 years. I walk up to 8 miles at a time through blizzards, nor'easters, and all sorts of snowstorms. I am forever trying to capture the feelings of loneliness, isolation, anxiety, longing, and nostalgia that are felt as a New Yorker and snowstorms are the best time to attempt such a sort of ephemeral pursuit.

I feel a little stripped bare releasing this into the wild. This is my life's passion.

(the track in this teaser is the track I listened to while editing 90% of the photos in this book, it is from the soundtrack Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman. That film is one of the biggest influences on my work and soul.)
I hope you enjoy.

Please let me know if you pre-order and thank you in advance :). Your support and messages always puts a smile on my face.
