Went for the first time today to have brunch with a friend. Staff were friendly and attentive and we were seated quickly despite it being lunch time. The food certainly looked appetising when it arrived and it did taste nice (I had the Eggs Benedict) but unfortunately the eggs were completely over done so it was pretty disappointing not to see a runny yolk. Also found it to be quite expensive especially since the portion sizes (including juices) were small.

Friendly, attentive staff and table was ready for us as soon as we arrived for brunch. Food was slightly disappointing. Although the chorizo hash was delicious, most of the poached eggs were cooked solid (5 out of 8), although staff did replace them when it was brought to their attention. The dish included mushrooms in the description, but in reality only one, small mushroom was served. Cinnamon donuts were raw in the middle, so must have been cooked from frozen. Would expect better for the price.

You definitely need to book in advance if you plan to visit this cafe on a weekend! Even on a weekday you are hedging your bets if you expect to just rock up. The service in this cafe is impeccable and it is definitely a good option for taking friends from outside the city. There's a very laid back atmosphere and the decor is really nice too. I had the chorizo hashbrowns which were really nice. Everything we had tasted pretty great and while it isn't my favourite brunch spot it's definitely delicious. The portion of the eggs benedict is pretty small however so take note if you're hungry!

We visited The Riding House many times. I don't know what is going on there. The place was brillant, now the feeling, the taste and the service is changing. Not one of my favourite place anymore. If I want to consider something similar by the same company I think the Village East (Bermondsey St.) is much better.

Great if you're looking for a bit of an upgrade on your weekly brunch trips, however I couldn't justify doing this weekly. While the food is lovely, the staff do tend to take quite a lot longer than you'd hope to get anything to your table; be it just taking your order, to bringing drinks or even your food. Maybe this is because the place is always rammed full of customers, or maybe they just haven't got the hang of managing it all quite yet. Either way, it's a lovely place just could do with a but of a service technique refresh.

Used to abosolutely love it here but has gone seriously downhill with both food and service. Fine for a drink at the bar but past few times food and service has been mediocre at best. A shame as was fantastic before.

have been here many times for breakfast/brunch. great atmosphere, buzzing and vibrant but not overly loud, nice decor, comfortable sofas, great service, and the finer touches make it that extra special (eg. milk served in miniature milk bottles). every friend I've taken here has loved it.

Great atmosphere, though perhaps a little echoey. Best at the bar, though there are some great comfortable window seats too.
