Great selection of deli meats, pastas, and Italian food stuffs. It can get busy, but be sure to grab a number when you walk in to get served in a pretty quick fashion. Staff is very friendly and know their products well.

This place has a great old school vibe and excellent selection of all things Italian food / drink. If you're looking for an affordable meal, they have a cheap sandwich made of whatever they're looking to clean up (different every day). Look through the Valencia side window south of the shop to see the pasta machines in action.

Love this place! They have many things from Spain and Argentina, even if it's mostly Italian. They have a lot of different dry pasta. Their fresh made pasta is awesome! I loved the meat tortelini. They also have Italian chocolates and specialties, including salami and cheese.

Working in Italian restaurants for as long as I have and you'll come to fall in love with this place. One of the best Italian delicatessens in the city also has a wide array of Italian favorite like paper thin slices of meats, cheeses worthy of praise and even fresh pasta made everyday. I've bought a large loaf of garlic bread here before. When it was time for dinner, I decided to heat some up in the microwave. What resulted was about 15 minutes of cleaning in my microwave. Tasted great, but be prepared for enough fat to clog even the most veteran of eater's arteries. The meat sauce here wasn't a favorite at a recent dinner I prepared. The sauce was to tart for my little cousins, but they loved the fresh pasta here so I had to improvise and create a cream sauce instead. Overall, this place has quality food, but might not be for everyone. Try everything that looks interesting at least once and form your opinion from there. I know I have and I'll be back here for a long time.

Small shop but they have so much to offer! Don't know what you want? Just go in and chat with the staff! They're more than happy to help. And you can watch them make pasta through the window on the street.

Recommended by a friend, Joe C., as a "true Italian deli", and being from the East, I had to see for myself, and it was worth it. I knew there was one of these in North Beach, and while I THOUGHT they were connected, apparently they are NOT! This place offers every kind of Italian delicacie imaginable - from caprese to sausages and every cured thin in between. Lardo? GOT IT. That, in and of itself, is worth the trip. Lucky for me, this gem was discovered blocks away from my Civic Center home! Fresh ravioli, as one might guess, is the specialty here, and I must say, a century of production really perfects one's art, Lucca's is no exception. I recommend the meat ravioli. From what I understand, the owners wait for no one, so BE ON TIME! We got some sauce, a bit of OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD foccacia, and a bit of parm. After the first bite, I was on a plane to Italy. By the end of the meal, I had toured the countryside and bit into one of everything. If you get the chance, get to this place and take a swing. It's well worth the effort you might have put out to get there, and I guarantee you'll hit a home run!

It's real Italian! When we come to town to visit this is the place to pick up everything for a homemade Italian dinner, bread, olives cold cuts cheese, pasta and great gravy. Did I say Mangiare!
