Today we have our 20 seat bus crossing the border into NZ after it's long journey from Japan this vehicle represents a change for us and the chance to fill a need from our customers who are looking to carry more than our current 12 seat minibuses.

Although we still have a few weeks to go before the bus will be ready to rent whilst it undergoes it's compliance safety checks and the fitting of new seatbelts to all 20 seats in the bus, we are taking bookings now for September onwards.

This bus will be fitted with a towbar so you will be able to attach a trailer where needed for added luggage capacity.

So if you see yourself in the need for a 20 seat minibus contact the team at James Blond Ltd and discuss how they will be able to assist you.

It's amazing that in a country where one of the highest participation sports (Basketball) does not even rate a mention in the largest daily newspaper that an offer of a match report for the NZNBL written by a quality writer is turned down because they do not want to cover this.

So a friend of mine has now launched his own blog and if you want to read all about what is happening in the local basketball scene the check out. www.laceylowdown.com for match reports and other comments.

Yesterday the James Blond Super City Rangers put up a brave performance to go down to the Southland Sharks but did not quite match the feats of Friday where they won their second match to ensure that they will not finish at the foot of the table.

We have recently added a range of new Nissan X-Trails to our range of rental cars and they are now available for hire. But why would you want one? The Nissan X-Trail is an excellent choice if you need a […]

Sometime when I meet a customer here at James Blond Ltd I am left wondering what a strange world we live in and how everyone is different and it can be a real eye opener to the world that most of us don't even realise exists. This is especially true when it comes to people who need to rent one of my trucks because they have been evicted from their flat or something similar.

Yesterday I had a young lady turn up at 10am, so drunk that she could hardly stand up , wanting to rent a truck. Thankfully she was coherent  enough for me to understand that her friend who was in the car outside was the one who was driving and that she did not even know how to drive.

We did the contract and the friend drove off and the truck returned later in the day undamaged but with the young lady in an even worse state of repair than when the truck was collected.

I often think that we could make a reality TV show around what happens at James Blond Ltd and that it would make some very interesting real life television.

James Blond Ltd and Basketball in Auckland are very much linked through sponsorship both of the NZ Breakers and the James Blond Super City Rangers but also through our own team playing on a Tuesday night in the North Harbour competition. With the team starting out last winter with an unblemished record of losing every game we played we made a few adjustments and during the summer season finished 7th out of 15 teams winning 7 games.

This winter season sees a new coach helping the team and a couple of new players and with it a whole new set of results. Starting out with 3 very close games, winning by 3 then 1 and then 2 the team got it together and then won by 42 and 19 and are now 5 from 5and sitting at the top of the table.

The great thing about this whole thing is the the staff at James Blond Ltd have become involved in the whole process of supporting the team and being part of it and that makes the whole sponsorship process worthwhile.

Our next game is next Tuesday and we will be aiming for 6 from 6

Winter is a very interesting time to be running a rental car company as the weather gets colder and the days get shorter so do the rental contracts meaning that here at James Blond Ltd we are dealing on a day to day basis with a space shortage caused by having sufficient cars for the summer period but to many for the winter period.

As a result you the renter are at a significant advantage price wise because you can almost negotiate your own deal for longer term rental. Here at James Blond Ltd we have introduced a winter special on our smallest and cheapest cars at only $25 per day for a 7 day rental and an incredible offering of only $13.95 per day for a 30 day rental on one of our higher mileage Budget saver cars.

So if you are needing a car short or long term make contact with us and lets see what we can put together to make a deal.

It's been a very exciting week here at James Blond Ltd with the arrival of two new trucks to add to our rental fleet the first is a large 3 ton box truck with a tail lift and this has formed a whole new class of rental vehicle as it's the first large truck we have with a lift at the rear.

The second truck to arrive is a new 2 ton box automatic and this 2009 Mazda Titan will quickly become a very popular part of our fleet as being slightly larger than the others in the fleet and a lot newer it stands out but over time all of our trucks are to be updated.

Bookings are available online right now for both of these just visit the James Blond Ltd website

Have received flowers every week for the past 5 years from Kae Flowers. They are always beautifully presented and always a delightful surprise according to the season as to what flowers we get. Highly recommend

Went to Wellington for the weekend and booked two rooms one of which was meant to contain a secondary bed for my 20 year old son and whilst it was quickly installed my son said it was less than comfortable and was a little disappointing. Wellington turned it on for the weekend and overall we where very happy with our stay. The location is great, the views from the room where stunning and it's easy walking distance to everywhere. I would have given 5 stars except for the bed.
