AVOID Dr. Christian J Hirsch!! He was late to my mother's colonoscopy procedure for 1hr45min while she was prepped with IV, and laying on the table! He never apologized, asked if "she's OK". So rude and unprofessional! The staff was actually nice. Get a better doctor!!

We went at the end of February and strawberries weren't sweet AT ALL. That's why they supplied us with condensed milk? Good strawberries are good on their own. Paid 2200Y per person and, regretfully, I'd rather buy them in local supermarket, much better! May be because it's a local farm and they werent getting enough light necessary for sweetness. Next time I'll drive to Shizuoka!

Got very good shiatsu/massage session here from very intuitive and gentle practitioner. He also recommended what I should do to prevent back pain when running. Highly recommended!

This is the best place to try local wild deer deer and boar. Best menu choice are "shka curry set" and "yase inoshishi sukiyaki nabe". "Shka curry set" includes: deer curry, raw deer sashimi, and another small dish (if available) with deer jerky, deep fried deer, smoked deer thigh and liver. "Yase inoshishi sukiyaki nabe" is wild boar hot pot. Sliced wild boar, noodles and vegetables will be brought out in a pot on a small gas stove. Boil it for 7-8 min till ready, dip contents into raw egg and enjoy! Very local and affordable place.

This somewhat chaotic store is a great place to find many unique new, gently used and antique things. The owner loves to find old stuff and give it a new life by restoring or decorating it. You'll see small (fit in your suitcase) and big furniture, Japanese dolls, tableware, wall decorations and everything in between. Look for not very obvious entrance opposite to Suwa Shrine ramp

Bought Mazda Axela here. Our dealer Mr. Nakazawa was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended!
