From what I understand from chemistry and biology class you can eat all the salt you want as long as you counteract it by drinking plenty of water. If you like things really salty simply drink a good amount of water. When the liquid outside your cells gets more salty than the water inside your cells then water leaves your cells to counter the imbalance. By drinking enough water you prevent the imbalance and resulting high blood pressure, hypertension… 8 glasses of water a day is not nearly enough for most people. I personally drink 8 or more Liters of water a day. But you can drink too much water and cause the imbalance to go the other way.
