This Sunday, Sept 20th is the second of the three Clinics that Leah Taylor has geared towards our Circle F Volunteers and any auditors are welcome.
-There are some spaces left for this great hands-on clinic series, but they are filling up fast so please make sure to reserve one if you have not done so yet.
-Leah Taylor of Clever Riding is going to be doing a 3 part clinic series with two sessions held at Circle F and the third at "Enns of the Roads Farms" in Chilliwack. Fee is by donation with all proceeds going to the horses.
-These clinics will help you relate to horses in a positive, enhancing manner by creating and fostering;
-a VISIBLE emotional connection.
-a clear language of communication, and therefore an atmosphere of relaxation for both horse and handler to learn in.
-Reduced resistance, both physical and emotional, on the ground and under saddle.
For more info, please see the poster and the details below.

3-Part Clinic Series with Leah Taylor of Clever Riding:

Sundays; Sept 6, 20, and Oct 4 12PM - 4PM.

Each clinic builds on knowledge gained in previous one so if someone is interested, it's definitely suggested they attend all 3.

Some of Leah's current students will be attending to give additional 1-on-1 support for participants.

-Clinic #1 - "Finding and Releasing Tension in Your Horse's Body". Sept. 6th, at Circle F. Maximum of 12 horses. Auditors welcome.
-Clinic #2 - Equine Strength Training or "Building Your Horse's Topline". Sept 20th @ Circle F. Four (4) horses only and learning will be in groups, with 1 horse per group. Auditors Welcome.
-Clinic #3 - Integrating Therapeutic Touch and Topline Development into the Training Process or "Clever Riding Liberty". See how Leah combines the concepts of Clinic 1 & 2 in her work with Amy, a QH mare who is well into the Clever Riding liberty process. Primarily, this will be a demo, but students may have an opportunity to try out some of the concepts themselves. Questions are welcome and encouraged.
Located at "Enns of the Road Farms" (located at the end of Browne Road, outside of Yarrow, Chilliwack). Oct 4th. Indoor arena and heated classroom.

An Update on "Amber" (now Olive) and Preston ~
"I just wanted to let you know how the surprise went :)
Preston really had no clue she would be lucky enough to have her biggest wish come true.
Amber (now loving called Olive) is absolutely perfect for our family. 8 year old Preston has ridden her twice now w/t/c.. that pony is fancy and kind! Not often you find such a combination. They have their first lesson together on Tuesday and I only see the partnership growing from here! We feel extremely fortunate to have Olive as part of our family."

Name: Rojo
Registered Name: Copys Bay Lena
Breed: Quarter Horse Mare
Birthdate: May 29, 2000
Color: Bright Bay
Height: 15.1 hh

Temperament: Rojo is a refined and sophisticated gal, and really does well with a caring and sensitive person that is willing to have a 'dialog' with her. She tends to be alpha mare with other geldings, but gets along well once the pack is established. She is healthy, in great condition, and stays on the leaner side. She is sound, has good feet, but can be sensitive soled if ridden on rocks or hard ground and was previously shod for that type of riding. She is up to date on all vaccinations, floating, farrier and deworming.
Potential Paths: Rojo has had a lot of western training and with the right partnership can really show off her moves. She prefers the trails to arena and is eager to see whats around the next bend. She is a great lead mare, very brave and willing. She is easy to tack and stands well for mounting, and can even help open and close gates ! She would do best with an intermediate rider, who is on the lighter side as Rojo is a finer boned Quarter Horse. She has a nice, ground covering walk, a soft, smooth jog, a good working trot and a big lope.
Be sure to check out her adoption video at the link below as well!
