Join mathematicians Dana Ernst , Sara Del Valle , Vincent Knight , Luis Guzman  and Robert Jacobson  as they talk with Amy Robinson  about their favorite math gifs and ideas and what it's like to be a mathematician. How many numbers are there? Do mathematicians see the world differently? And why is the last panel of this xkcd comic funny?

A similar mail to this one came to me. Better to know about it. Check also
for more about "academic spam" and "vanity publishing".
I received this very strange email a few weeks ago, and after ignoring it, I got a followup email about it tonight. I wish I were enough of a big-shot to author a work entitled "Artificial Intelligence".

Dear Kevin R. Canini,

As stated by the University of California, Berkeley's electronic repository, you authored the work entitled "Artificial Intelligence" in 2011 within the framework of your postgraduate degree.
Due to the fact that we are currently planning publications in this subject field, we would be pleased to know whether you would be interested in publishing the work mentioned above with us.

LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing is a member of an international publishing group which has almost 10 years of experience in the publication of high-quality research works from well-known institutions across the globe.
Besides producing printed scientific books, we also market them actively through more than 80,000 booksellers.

Kindly confirm your interest in receiving more detailed information in this respect.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Should you? Yes in every way!
'Are you the Seminar organizer asking a question because no one else is and the awkward silence is making everyone uncomfortable?' (I've had some of those questions come my way...)
