Working with the artist regarding price can be great idea, and is a good experience, especially with Danielle—a true artistpreneur!

SOMERVILLE, MA – The artist members of Washington Street, in Somerville, invite you to our second art auction fundraiser benefitting our friends at the Somerville Homeless Coalition, a wonderful organization that has helped so many people in the past, and is there for people when they find themselves without one of the things everyone needs: a home.

Our first fundraiser, held in 2011, was a sweet success, and we hope to match that this year. This is a silent auction, but friendly "bidding competitions" are encouraged!
100% percent of all art sales and other donations will go directly to the Somerville Homeless Coalition. The SHC provides a myriad of services to those in need, including emergency food and shelter, a soup kitchen, permanent housing assistance, case management, as well as a compassionate, generous staff and group of volunteers.

Among the many local and out-of-state artists generously donating work are Roger Galuska, Murat Recivek, Benjamin Potrykus, Melissa Falco, Jennifer Weigal, Jim Baab, Melissa Glick, Vanessa R. Thompson, Athena Moore, Anna Warrock, and Gretchen Ann Graham.
Art will be on display from December 5 – 26. We encourage you to preview the works on Saturday the 5th; and to continue bidding through the month after our official auction!
