A plate. A drill. A fish hook. #ux #cx #design
What do a white plate, a vintage drill, and an Inuit fish hook have in common? Each has shaped the look and feel of a site you visit daily.

Think about accessibility from the beginning of your design process, and let that thinking infuse your creative decision-making throughout. #a11y   #accessibility
Designers can reach over 1 billion people just by keeping accessibility in mind, says Google's Astrid Weber and Jen Devins.

You likely know someone with diabetes, more than 25 million children and adults in the U.S. are affected by the disease.

Please take a moment to donate in support of my Tour de Cure 100-mile bike ride. Thanks!

What a life he lived.
Mr. Mandela's decades in prison and insistence on forgiveness over vengeance made him a potent symbol of the struggle to end his country's system of racial domination.

Senior Digital Content Strategist, 2014 - present
I rigorously and thoughtfully create simple, intuitive, customer-facing content experiences for a range of users across smartphone, tablet, and desktop. My work embraces user-centered design principles, user testing, personas, and user stories to inform content strategy. In my role I collaborate with interaction and visual designers, developers, product managers, and business analysts. Our design teams adhere to WCAG 2.0 accessibility principles and standards. I also develop, enhance, and maintain editorial standards and guidelines. In addition to designing content, I'm working to improve, streamline, and simplify our project documentation processes and outputs. Over the course of a product launch, I participate in the user acceptance testing (UAT) process, and address ambiguities and defects. I also advocate and evangelize for our Customer Experience practice by developing presentations and annual reports. And I co-authored the Wells Fargo digital brand principles in collaboration with our visual design and enterprise brand teams.

I stopped in today to casually browse at Priuses and ended up having the best car shopping experience I've ever had, thanks to the excellent, insightful service offered by sales manager Maggie Schillo. Due to mechanical issues with my current car, I'm having to find a new car quickly and unexpectedly. For various reasons, I'm considering leasing for the first time and I'm suddenly realizing I know very little about it. Maggie took the time to run through several funding scenarios, involving both financing and leasing, and she provided detailed, knowledgeable background on each option. I left feeling much better informed about the car buying process than when I arrived. Thanks, Maggie.
