Well when in Rio, you have to stop and see this. We came here in low season (August) so there was no lines. If you come with a taxi, guide or jeep tour, you have to stop close to the Ticker counter. After you get you ticket you take a van for a 5 minutes ride up to the statue. Keep your tickets as you will need them to get through the gates once again. The tickets are around 35 Real in high season and about 24 in low season. There are discounts for children ans seniors (over 60). The platform by the status is very crouded and we really enjoyed the views all around. you can see the whole city from here. Very beautifyl views. There are some souvenir shops and some food and drinks available as well, but we didn't stick around for that. Enjoy!

Worth seeing up close. A little crowded at the top but for good reason. Bring a selfie stick and some patience.

Its a must while already in Rio but it's always overcrowded. Not as good views from the Sugarloaf but still worth to go

Breath taking... It's a must visit! I strongly recommend to who is coming to this place to use the little train ("bondinho", as we call here), because the ride is much more beautiful than through the road.

How can you visit Rio and NOT stop and visit the Christ statue. Its iconic! The symbol of Rio itself. Yeah, its not the cheapest place to go but totally worth the money. I have gone several times through the years (i grew up in Rio years ago) and I feel like its getting more expensive as time goes on. There are 2 ways of getting up there, well actually 3 if you include walking/hiking up. You can either drive up or you can take the train. I would recommend taking the train. It really enhances the whole experience. The view from up there is breathtaking. You can see all of rio and beyond. The statue itself is amazing. It is huge! trully a visit worthy location not only for tourists but also for locals aswell.
