Inez Frances Andrus was born in Baker City on November 16, 1949 to Russell and Grace Hall and big sister Belinda. Little brothers Gary and Paul soon followed.
Inez graduated from Baker High School in 1968. After graduation she attended business college in Boise Idaho with her sister. She then took a bold step, leaving small town Baker, and accepted a job with the FBI in Washington D.C. What she did there, however, is still classified...
While working in Washington D.C. she met her future husband, Don. It wasn't long after they met that they knew they were meant to spend their lives together. Don and Inez married a short time later in a double ceremony, with her sister, Belinda.
After the birth of their two daughters, Faith and April, Don and Inez decided to call the Pacific Northwest their home. It was here, that the family grew with the birth of their sons; Jonathon and Joshua.
For the next few years, Inez stayed home to raise their children. Though staying home taking care of her children was a priority, she helped support her family by taking on various part-time jobs.
Once Inez's children became school-age, she decided to pursure a career in health-care, which she did for the next 20 years. During this time the family lived in Idaho and Washington, but decided to call Keizer home, in 1989 and have never left... especially after visting the Oregon Coast!
In 1992, Inez and Don were blessed with their first grandaughter, Amanda. Soon after came Caleb, and Kursten. Inez enjoyed being a grandmother. She was blessed by the joy that they brought to her life.
At the age of 53, Inez made the decision to go back to college and recieved her Associates in Business Technology. With her degree, she was offered a position with the State of Oregon, providing administrative support.
Two years ago, she retired due to health reasons. After a long and courageous fight with a liver disease, she passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her loving family.
Inez enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life. One of her all time favorite pastimes, was spending time at the Oregon Coast with her husband. She also enjoyed quilting and could crochet up a storm!
Another one of Inez's favorite things, was shopping with coupons. She is said to be a "pioneer" of the extreme couponing movement. Inez always knew the total of her purchase, down to the penny, even before reaching the checkstand. There were many people who admired her talent and ability to save money!
Her favorite time of the year, was Christmas-boy, how she LOVED christmas! Inez had an ability to bring the spirit of the season into her home. She would often set up two Christmas trees, village and was an avid collector of snow globes and snow families.
Inez is survived by her mother, Grace; sister Belinda and brother-in-law Dave; brother Gary and sister-in-law Roma; brother Paul and sister-in-law Donna.
