Valvoline and Cummins’ attempt to compete at the 49th SCORE Baja 1000 in November 2016.
The trucks are using custom built 5.9L common-rail remanufactured Cummins engines, similar to the 2003 vintage offered as an option in the RAM pickup truck. RAM introduced the Cummins mechanical 5.9L Turbo Diesel in the 1989 model year and that engine evolved into the 6.7L Turbo Diesel available today.

German startup Sunfire in Dresden, produced its first batches of the "e-diesel" this month!
The base fuel is referred to as "blue crude," and begins by taking electricity from renewable sources like wind, solar or hydropower and using it to produce hydrogen from water via reversible electrolysis. The hydrogen is then mixed with CO2 that has been converted into CO in two chemical processes and the resulting reactions produce a liquid made from long-chain hydrocarbons – this is blue crude, which is then refined to create the end product, the synthetic e-diesel.

Audi just created diesel fuel from air and water.  Audi is making a new fuel for internal combustion engines that has the potential to make a big dent when it comes to climate change – that's because the synthetic diesel is made from just water and carbon dioxide.
The company's pilot plant, which is operated by German startup Sunfire in Dresden, produced its first batches of the "e-diesel" this month.

The 2006 Dodge Charger was the first year Dodge made the Charger since 1987. They offered several different engine choices but never a diesel. Why let the trucks have all the fun? Someone has fixed that by installing a 12 valve Cummins 6BT 5.9L diesel engine and NV4500 five-speed transmission into this Charger.

Nothing racing or motorsport but worth a share cause PLENTY of horsepower! Worlds Largest Diesel Engine that puts out over 22,000 HP starting up.
This beast of a Diesel engine was built in 1932, it was the world's largest diesel engine for more than 30 years and was constructed to help stabilize the power grid in Denmark during peak power periods.
The fact that this thing is still operational after so many years is a testament to Diesel Engines Power and Reliability!
