I've come here for drinks/happy hour and had a good experience both times. -Happy hour specials aren't fantastic or anything. The drinks were $6-9. $6 for a really strong/well made marg or sangria at least! But I'd say the norm in the area is $5 for cocktails. Katie P. got a rose marg and we legit saw him grab a fresh rose and put the petals in the drink. -I ordered 3 tacos for $10. I got 3 mushroom ones (only veg option) and they were super good--unique flavors, fresh, and flavorful. They could have made them spicier though! Speaking of veg options, there aren't many at all in the full menu, so I probably wouldn't come here for a meal. -I was surprised that when you order food, it comes with basket of fresh chips and two kinds of salsa! Free stuff like this during happy hour isn't common, so maybe that balances out with the slightly above price cocktails. -Service was attentive. All the servers/owners/whatever were really friendly. -Happy hour starts at 2pm! So if you want to/can start early, this would be the place to start.

--4.5 stars-- Food Quality: 4.5 stars Food Quantity: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Price: 3.5 stars Came here for Restaurant Week. LOTS of food (come hungry..). We got Alma Blanca and Margarita de Champagne for drinks, Empanadas and Ceviche for appetizers, Surf n Turf and Enchiladas Playa for entrees, and Tres Leches and "Impossible" Cake for dessert. My favorite things were the Alma Blanca, Surf n Turf, "Impossible" Cake, and Tres Leches, though everything else was great too. The Alma Blanca is a milky drink with some habanero spice on the rim; pretty interesting blend of creamy, sweet, and spicy. The Surf n Turf comes with huge grilled shrimp, cut of steak, and sides of rice, beans, guac; the steak was really fantastic. The "Impossible" Cake consists of flan layered with chocolate cake on top of caramel; tasted as amazing as it sounds. The Tres Leches is vanilla sponge cake soaked in milk; perfect balance of creamy and sweet.

I have been going to this restaurant since 1996. I live in Florida and travel to Philadelphia frequently on business and for pleasure with my wife. After living in Tucson, AZ for 12 years, and being a lover of mexican food, I can safely say that this is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever seen. Don't expect Tacos and Enchiladas only. They have samples from all the regions of Mexico on the menu.

I've been coming here since I was 17yrs. I go there pretty often that I already know some of the people who work there. I want to say that I love this place, service is really good BUT there is 2 things I wish would change. 1) When it comes to a big dinner with the family and they sit us in the back of the restaurant is REALLY dark. I wish there was a little bit more light in the back since I don't think it's good to have the clients take out their phone's flashlight to look at the menu. 2) It must be really bad luck I guess that the 3 or 4 times I have gone there with a party of 10-12 people or even just 2 of us who come here to have a nice dinner the ONE server always trying to rush us out, not providing even "good" service. It comes to the point where we don't feel comfortable anymore. I always recommend this restaurant to family and friends not only because I like it but because I am Mexican and it is way beyond any other restaurant I have been in over 15 years. Just wish those 2 problems were fixed. Everything else is excellent!!!

I had a really nice (and quick) dinner here with my wife before we caught a bus home. The chile rellenos with cheese were really good.

I have a favorite drink and a favorite place to get tequila with my meal. Our waiter was a knowledgeable, lively, and he knows his Tequila. I was hungry, on a date, and love Tequila. The food was great. I am going to recommend the guacamole for the table and making a reservation – it gets crowded on weekends. My final piece of advice is to come thirsty (and take a cab home).
