"When we called Gay in the morning, we were shocked that they were able to take us in the morning. We were having problems with our GMC Sierra, which seemed to be the brakes. We received a loaner vehicle as they weren't sure when the car would be ready. I thought that was super as I would have had problems not having my vehicle. Mark Neal handled our account/repair and was super! He was very informative and a great personality. Because of Mark and the great service we received, we would highly recommend Gay to others and would definitely consider purchasing a vehicle there if and when we need one."  -Stephen W.

When we came in to the dealership, it was our 4th auto dealer in two days. We had been to look at the Honda Pilot, Toyota 4Runner and Ford Explorer. We were looking for an Acadia SLE-2 which had what we thought we wanted. Our salesman, Monte, explained a lot of the features of the Acadia. He didn't have what we were looking for on the lot but told us he could get one for us without a problem.

After going home and comparing all the information we received from all the dealers, it came down to the Acadia and the Ford Explorer. The clincher was the cargo bed in the Acadia was bigger than the Explorer and Monte said he could match the trade-in offered by Ford for my Toyota Highlander. When we went back to see Monte to actually drive the car now that we had pretty much decided to buy it, he let us know that with the rebate offered on the SLT, we could upgrade to that for not much more than the SLE-2 and he had one there on the lot that we liked.

Monte made buying a new car a pleasant experience. He was knowledgeable about what options were available compared to what we were looking for and, I feel, put us together with the perfect vehicle.

We picked up the car 4 days ago and he has already been in touch to make sure we know that even though the sale was over, we could contact him with any questions that arise.

"I was the best experience I have had purchasing a vehicle. I am working a lot and did not have the time to sit, and draw out a long day of negotiating. I made a simple request of Byron Schirmbeck to figure up what the deal I had in mind for a lease would look like so I could make my mind up if it was something I could do. I called 3 other dealers with the same request, they all wanted credit checks, applications just to tell me numbers. Byron understood my circumstance and came through with flying colors in just about an hour, the others called a day later. The deal was perfect, Byron was great to deal with, knew the vehicle details from front to back, and had me in and out with my new truck in 2.5 hours AWESOME. I have bought over 20 vehicles in my life between my wife and myself and this was the best experience ever. The truck is so nice to drive." -Nicholas M.

I do not appreciate being lied to ! I was told that the bank was requiring us to purchase the extended warranty in order for us to get the loan for this truck. Come to find out, the bank does not require this, nor have they ever. I knew I should have called the bank the next day to check but I didn't. (It was late when we were there so the bank was closed when we were signing papers when they threw that in) $2,500 later. They were agitated that we didn't use their finance company to begin with. Ran our credit through their finance company instead of just the bank like we told them too so that's an additional inquiry on our credit that they didn't have permission to do. Also said we had free oil changes, not even a week later the oil life message came on so we took it in. They said oh, we forgot to reset it . ok fine. Then said they were going to fix the arm rest that was broken (they knew before we signed the papers). Their way of fixing it was to try and put a piece of metal under it that was sticking out so when I grabbed the door handle it cut my finger. Called the manager he said they "may" be able to replace it but he would have to see. Crooked and crappy service. Will never use them or recommend them .

This review is for the service department and it's lack of actual customer service skills. We have an older Tahoe that is past it's warranty. We never even got a chance to bring it into the dealership for service. We have a trusted certified mechanic that did a thorough diagnostic test and found it needs a software upgrade that can only be provided by the dealership. That day I called and left a message for a gentleman in the service department that I was transferred to. He called back and spoke with my husband. My husband advised him we need the upgrade. Before my husband could explain we have already done a diagnostic test, he cutoff my husband and said no. He said they need to do the diagnostic themselves and it's $150. Once it's done they may need our Tahoe for 5 days or longer to fix it. We were offended on how rude he was and he wouldn't listen. We contacted Christian Brothers and found they can do the same upgrade in about 3 hours for a total of $156 with no extra charge for an unnecessary diagnostic test. I had high hopes for Gay Family GMC service department. We will not be doing business them and I wouldn't recommend them at all. Stick with certified private mechanics.

Please know that it is company policy to perform a diagnostic, regardless of what outside repair shops that the vehicle has previously been to. Even if we would have done the software reprogram that was recommended by your outside shop and the issue wasn’t resolved as a result, we would have had to start the diagnostic process over again anyway. The diagnostic fee is not charged separately and added to the price of the total service ticket. It is only charged as a separate item if the customer elects not to make any repairs while the vehicle is in our shop. Now, if the repair had been completed here after the diagnostic was performed, we would have applied the diagnostic fee to the overall service ticket cost. Again, we apologize for any frustration you were caused during your visit and we hope that we have the opportunity to show you our commitment to excellent customer service in the future. I contacted Stephen Dommert about a 2015 new Verano"s best price six weeks ago. At first, he gave me a price that was $1400 over the price listed on the internet. When I told him the internet price, he changed the quote to that. I asked him to come down $2500 on the price to be more in line with a Verano at a competing dealership (taking into account the differences between the vehicles), he told me through emails that he could not come down even a penny. He said he could not lose that much money on the car and that he was not that desperate. I told him that I preferred his model, but that I was going to go with the competitor's car due to the large discrepancy in the prices. He didn't seem to care and told me the car was too pretty and hard to find to drop the price that low. At the end of the next month, just after I had just purchased the other vehicle, he dropped the price $2000.

Worst service department I have ever had to deal with. Had my car ignition switch and body control module replaced 8-15 and drive line to the tune of $3299.25, was never right. Failed again 6-16. Paid them another $580.00 . plus towing. It failed again 9-16. They have had the car for over a week. They promise to call, they don't. The service manager is no better than his department. Just avoid this place like the plague if you can at all. They really don't deserve the one star I had to give them.

Haven't had the full experience yet but the nice lady I spoke with to set up a service appointment was efficient, quick, kind and told me any information I needed. Any information she couldn't provide she made it a point to have the service advisors call me so I could get the info from there. Perfect 1 half of the job experience. Great service center secretary.

I Bought my 2013 GMC Terrain from here in April 30th. Nice staff, good priced certified vehicle (although I didn't get that full tank of gas, as promised), but its ok. Also, the advertised hwy MPG is 32, I only get 22 with eco mode cruising 65 mph. But that's not the dealership's fault, its just how GMC products are, Toyotas on the other hand, always go above & beyond their advertised specs.

Stopped by today due to a tire pressure problem. The service itself was good. They fixed it instantly and did not charge. However, the guy at the service department was rude. He interrupted me when I spoke to a technician. He even told me "good bye" while I was still speaking to him. Not quite a pleasant experience.
