Is anyone I know using Google+ now? I haven't been on here in a little while, but it seems like there have been some improvements.

Gamification will be the top tech trend in 2012. Read this blog post by the expert on what that means for businesses around the world next year!

The term is awful, but that doesn't make gamification programs any less meaningful or important. When you interact with a gamification experience, it is never labeled "gamification." But it does motivate behavior. I've seen results myself, 20%, 100%, 300% increases in social sharing, conversions, referrals, registrations, and other key business objectives. Who cares what the techniques are called? They work.

It's been a while since I've posted on here. There just isn't enough time in the day to maintain every social network I belong to, plus my blog, not to mention my actual job! :) How does anyone do it? I downloaded Path today and while it's pretty, all I could think was how overwhelmed I am at all the places I have to interact with people and content. I often wonder how others manage to keep up, then I realize they've probably outsourced duplicates of themselves to virtual assistants in Asia. How do you keep your social accounts up to date without getting burnt out?

Story
Tagline
Badgeville's Director of Marketing. Theatre, UI, Gamification, Social Media Geek. Thoughts are my own.
Introduction
I head up marketing at Badgeville, the Social Loyalty Platform. We add social game mechanics to web & mobile experiences for ecommerce, media, education & health customers including Discovery, NBC, Bluefly.com, The Active Network, Deloitte Digital, Universal Music, among others. Check us out at www.badgeville.com

Badgeville is growing fast so if you're interested in working with us (engineers, product, QA, producers ++), send me a message at adena@badgeville.com

Some things I like: Interaction Design, Gamification, Theatre, Haute Couture Fashion, Google News, Blue Skies, Dexter, 30 Rock, Personal Finance stuffs, Sociology, Psychology, Travel, Singing, Cheese, Sleep. In the occasional year I have spare time, I perform in and direct community theatre, and take pictures. I'm passionate about creating engaging, honest and meaningful experiences, on stage or online.

I was born on Thanksgiving Day, 1983, in New Jersey. I grew up drawing things, performing & creating, then went to college in Chicago for Theatre to become a designer/director, realized this wasn't my professional calling, moved to the Bay Area, became a technology reporter, decided I wanted to be a product manager, but was a writer by trade, not an engineer, so soon became a community manager, then a social media marketer, and now a marketer for the coolest B2B company in Silicon Valley (www.Badgeville.com).

My long-term professional goals are to one day found my own startup, possibly following a return to school to study HCI/UX, particularly the interaction design of learning and motivating positive / healthy behavior.

Bragging rights
Escaped New Jersey. + Surviving & thriving in Silicon Valley without a Stanford degree. :)
