Pleasant services hotel. Good service and decent location to get into Doncaster easily. Don't expect frills though.

I disliked my stay here. The room itself was spacious enough (I was on the 1st or 2nd floor - difficult to tell after a while!) although the television in the room was pain to use. It buzzed loudly and incessantly as if about to explode whenever I used it. The remote didn't work on the TV, just the carefully hidden set-top box on the table. Not major problem since I wasn't planning to spend much time in the room but annoying nonetheless. Some of the staff were very nice but many seemed indifferent or surly. The walls of my room were paper thin so I heard absolutely every sound from everyone around me. Water pressure was nonexistent, the shower controls counter-intuitive, the "green economy" toilet flush so economic as to be barely functional. The evening meal that I had (a vegetable curry) was poor. It really tasted like an awful lot of generic value curry powder and tinned tomatoes. Wifi although free is extremely slow, poor and unreliable (at least when you go above the ground floor - it's just slow on the ground floor). The hotel might work for a brief stay where perhaps it's a place to start and end the day but I found it difficult and frustrating in most other respects.
