Patti, I just discovered you a few weeks ago and am so glad I did.  I always enjoy all your videos, no matter what you're discussing, but I particularly liked this one! I hope you do more of this kind....where you relate experiences & life lessons you've learned through the years...

I'll have to try the Revlon Whipped Colorstay - it'd be nice to find a less expensive foundation than the EL Double Wear. Now that I'm in my 40s and my skin has gotten dryer, I'm finding the Double Wear is getting a little heavy and thick for my aging skin, but it stays put so well I know I don't have to worry about looking into the review mirror of my car after a long, hot day and seeing little white dots all over my face! I'm very self-conscious about my foundation pooling into my pores...drives me nuts.

lol…I'm in my 40s too and I totally can relate.  I used to have oily skin and now, I have combo skin with dry patches and that's where the BE foundation totally highlighted them for me.  Do let me know how the Revlon one work when you do try it.  I really like it…really stays put and minimum touch ups.

This song is timeless....I was glad to read that it's become a hit again after being used in the car commercial!

My favorite pound cake recipe. It's from a community cookbook put out in the 1960s (I'm guessing) called Hometown Recipes of First Baptist Church of Magnolia, Mississippi. It's very similar to the 7-Up Pound Cake recipe ...

I just found your channel this evening and have spent the last hour or so watching your videos...so informative and interesting. I look forward to watching all of them eventually. I'm intrigued with all the positive reviews of Loreal Infallible Pro Matte - I'm going to have to pick up a tube tomorrow at Target! Your son sounds wise for his age...there's nothing more painful than watching your child be hurt by others. I remember some sleepless nights I went through when our son was in middle school and being taunted because he was chubby...

I'm so glad I chanced upon your review of this foundation...in my never ending quest to find the perfect foundation for my large pored skin, I was thinking about trying it. But when I saw your photos of how it settled into pores I decided to save myself the time and trouble. I'm ever hopeful and I always like trying new foundations but yet tend to eventually go back to my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Enjoyed your video!

Hi dulcet path.  Thank you so much for subscribing!  I am so glad I've helped you out.  You know, I've yet to try out Estee Lauder's Double Wear…I heard so much about it.  On the drugstore end, I find the Relvon's Colorstay Whipped very good for covering over those larger pores of mine.  Have you tried it?

This pie is very rich, but it's perfect for when you want an easy dessert recipe that's both cool and sweet. It's from a 1975 Clinton, North Carolina Woman's Club Cookbook called Something Old - Something New. It's an un...

I had been going here for at least three years and was generally pleased. But the very first time I ever questioned them about something I thought had been overlooked after having my car serviced, I got open hostility from Xavier, the manager. This really set me back on my heels since the issue was minor. To pay me back, I was never called when my car was finally ready, and when I did call that evening to see if the oil change was finished or not, I was treated with irritated petulance. I assumed by the way he treated me, that the manager didn't want my business anymore, so I haven't been back.

My son loved this school and he flourished in its environment. My impression was that the administration, and especially the teachers, really put their hearts into the education of their pupils. It was definitely worth the price of the tuition, which was more than reasonable considering how much you get (I've never ran across another private school whose tuition was as low as this school). When we moved and had to enroll our son in public elementary school, he was ahead of his classmates, which says very positive things about the instruction at Tri-County.
