Wrote google a letter. Only right to make it a g+ post
Two summers ago I was riding my motorcycle across the states. At breakfast I was planning my lunch stop. I pulled out my Zagat App and found this Hot Dog place on my route. It was a classic find an...

+John Maloney You are not the only one that seems to agree. Yelp definitely doesn't work well outside the US although I have looked at it to see if it could go global. That's probably the biggest challenge

Renaming my Circles by adding a number 1.0, 2.0 etc has enabled the order I want and names that are useful to me in my left side bar.

I ended up adding circles as the pre-assigned ones did not fit my needs. After all, some family members are closer than others, same with friends!

I don't think Netflix is going to lose many streaming customers overall. Still there's a lot of questions that remain unanswered. I'm also baffled at why Netflix took such a crude approach to the announcement.

Oogling was funny too. Too many will be nonplussed. "+ing" is somehow more interesting that plussing which has problems with 1+ and the implications thereof. We should consider the symbol "+" alone as just like the international phone call +yournumber "+" is an add, an escalation, an answer, a response around a communication space that will in time encourage conversation rather than promiscuity.

What verb do we use to describe what we do in here? I am so used to talk about blogging and tweeting, even at a push Facebooking. Is this Plussing? Circling? Neither feel right ...

To my followers! Thank you! For either seeking me out or following me after I followed you while trying to understand Google+. You have all kick started my learning process. I've made some notes in this post about how I'm going to try and work to make G+ a conversational space. I see the opportunity and it's certainly worth the experiment. I wrote a blog on some of the things I'm going to try relative to reading and sharing.

+Robert Paterson +Euan Semple +Dina Mehta I'm really encouraged! My fear is... I lose control of my data, my information. I can't keep it anywhere. It isn't even searchable here from what I can see.

I've relabeled my circles and re populated some... I'm now on "following me" "comments shared" and yes still have an "acquaintances" of those that I've followed and we've not connected yet but I think are worth having a conversation with. I still have some other circles - it's just an experiment right now.

I think there is more opportunity here to work on common problems or of collective interest. A real circle then perhaps becomes your real center (s) of interest in the longer term. If there is one word I want my real conversational circle to stand for here it is "Convo". Right now that ties back to early interest with "Conversational Blogging" http://www.henshall.com/blog/archives/000627.html maybe another link/post I may bring back from the past.
