Ironic that Nevada is the state containing Las Vegas, arguably one of the lewdity capitals of the world. The fact that an apparently sympathetic judge's hands were tied by statute makes it patently obvious the NV electorate aren't moved to humanity in the face of obscene verdicts like this. The people who elected the NV state representatives should hang their heads in shame at a statute that is clearly not going to improve anyone's life. Do they care? Of course not, they don't even know. Pass the beer

Hi. Meet my brother, David. He lives by the River Aire a few miles away from where we grew up and retains his lifelong interest in music and pianistic virtuosity. He's at least as good a musician as I am a programmer (and he's also an amazingly versatile mathematician).

You may not want to listen to the whole collection, but I am sure David would appreciate any feedback fro outside his regular circles.

Thanks
 Steve

The reflection from this particular viewpoint made this interesting. Chicago, from East Wacker, while at DjangoCon

It must have been amazing. And now off you go to amaze us with new things. The best of luck, Edd, and thanks for helping make OSCON such a great convention.
In 2008, I took over from the inimitable Nat Torkington as a program chair of OSCON, O'Reilly's Open Source Convention. As is wise when replacing someone who is a noted personality, I determined to bring my own style to OSCON...

I sometimes wonder what all these people who are following my Google+ feed are expecting.

Integration of ArcMap model builder with Python coding. I am building a code to edit attribute tables poorly I must say.

Interesting, too, that the jury weren't aware of the penalty for the offense of which they found the defendant guilty, as otherwise a jury nullification would have been a sensible result. A US jury is able to pass a verdict in direct contradiction to the law if they feel that represents better justice, but attorneys are not allowed to refer to that during trial and most jurors are not even aware that they have that choice.

Poor Edna. I have to say it's only now I see the uncertainty returning. So far, enjoying every episode (and especially Felicity's surprise appearance).

OK, so what are the computations on what it took to get all that water up there and continually replenish it in an evaporative environment? Looking forward to reading the book.

Looks like Babbage's solution for calculating the value of collateralised debt obligations.
