Great BBQ tucked into Greektown. Wait staff was friendly and helpful and knew their stuff. Ended up ordering the 3 meat and the chicken, brisket and pulled pork were great. Others at the table went with the mild sauce - but the redsmoke was the best. Had a little kick to it, but worth it. The black eyed peas with spinach and rice side was so good as was the jalapeno cornbread. Great place to pop in and grab a local beer and some great food.

As good as Slows, and better in some ways. Their triple play dinner is amazing, a ton of food for a reasonable price. I also love their Mississippi Mudd BBQ sauce.

Red Smoke was the BEST place I ate while visiting Detroit. Their meat was flavorful and delicious but their read standout is their sauces. There are four on the table, each more delicious than the last. A great selection of craft beer and a friendly wait staff round out this restaurant making it a must visit.

If i could give it zero stars I would. This was my first time there and I had heard nothing but good things. So tonight after the Tigers game a group of my friends and I decided to give it a try. We were a party of 9. We had left the game early because it was rainy and went to the casino and won big so we were excited and ready to spend our winnings. When we first got there they said they couldn't accommodate a party of 9 in a half empty restaurant. Then when we refused to be separated they gave us a big table upstairs in the back. Natalie was our waitress and she was very rude. She greeted us with attitude. You could tell she didn't want to be there. She also refused to serve us any alcohol because we were "too impaired". She said we needed to order appetizers and water then we could have drinks. We were not impaired and a little offended. (My party was made up of mostly federal law enforcement.) Even so we complied and got appetizers and water. After finishing she still wouldn't serve us and continued to give us attitude. Now she said we had to order a meal and then after that she would serve us. At this point we asked to speak to the manager. She came over but was no help in the situation so we left and went to Fishbones. On our way out though, the staff downstairs asked why we were leaving so quickly. We told them what happened and they said, "It's obvious you are not impaired. Take this card call Brenda tomorrow. The manager here tonight is worthless. Call Brenda and tell her what happened and hopefully she can get it straightened out." I really wanted to like this place but with staff and treatment like that how can I. You've been warned: DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Delicious barbecue, very modern interior, great beer specials, reasonable prices. Accommodates a lot of people but there will still be a pretty long wait during busy hours. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

Hands down the worst "experience" at a restaurant. The staff is unprofessional and we discovered that it was no fault of theirs. The management is extremely rude! We ordered the wings as an appetizer They were under cooked and they were still a little pink. We informed our waitress She looked back at the manager (sitting at the table behind us) and repeated what I said... The Manager while still sitting proceeds to say that "eating is visual" questioning the taste and look of the wings and asked sarcastically if we wanted her to take the order back and cook it a little more. I asked for the check.. at that point I had it with the unprofessional ism... figured I can go to White Castle and get better treatment. No apologies were extended by the manager for ruining our dinner outing. I was staying At Greektown Casino so we decided to pick up some soup the next afternoon. Called in the order.. Went in to the restaurant to pick up my order... Waited 15 minutes before anyone came up to see what I needed. When I got my order it was not correct.. The bar tender felt bad and offered us a free dinner due to the experience we had the night before and the mess up on the order. I told her I will talk to my wife and call back.. 10 minutes later we called to accept their offer for a dinner. The manager gets on the phone and basically said that her staff misinformed us. What a JOKE!! I would not recommend this place at all!!

Delicious and affordable. Fast and friendly service. The portions are a little bit small but they're very tasty.

Best BBQ I've ever tasted in Michigan. Pulled pork was perfectly cooked and delicious. Smoked chicken was juicy and flavorful. The macaroni and cheese was, hands down, the best I've ever had. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the jalapeno corn bread. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as the rest of the meal. I would definitely make a trip to Detroit to eat here again.
