aside from this fascinating gif animation, take a look at one of the first in-depth Canon 1D X reviews!
Doh! I just realized that I have another frame that fits in that loop, making it a five frame animation, showing pretty much the entire wing flapping motion of this Common Kingfisher. Shot with the EOS 1D X and a 600mm f/4 lens at f10, 1/1000, ISO 1600.

Click on the thumbnail to view the larger image. It's quite impressive, if I say so myself. :)

Here are the WPP winners from 1955 - 2011.

The photos are remarkable, unfortunately often horrifying.

HIGH ISO SAMPLE IMAGES FROM THE CANON 1Dx

Canon just released a series of sample images from their new flagship camera, the 1Dx. The images vary in ISO range but the shots at ISO 8000 look AMAZING.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/soccer/manchester-united-fights-back-to-salvage-draw-with-chelsea/article2327103/

So, anyone who watched this match must have had a wonderful afternoon, as this was the greatest match of the season thus far.

Chelsea got the lead at the end of the first half, just as they go to three goal advantage at the start of the second half with goals from Juan Mata and David Luiz.

Manchester United got two penalties, from which Rooney was successful in both of them to bring some faith for the players. The comeback was completed after 38-year old Ryan Giggs' cross landed on Javier's head to split a point between each sides as the race for the title continues.

The first game ever to be broadcasted on the US cable television premiered in a great fashion.

I can't wait to see the Nielsen rating, which might determine the faith of mainstream soccer / football (!) in the US.

Until then, to all of my American friends and sports fan - enjoy your biggest sports day. GO PATS
