Five Star Equestrian Rider's had such a blast at our 2016 Gymkhana. Five Star Trainers were very proud of all participants. We are so thankful to be able to host these in home events at our facility, RDLA, providing a way for our students to practice what they are learning for an audience. Not only are these events fun, but they are very educational for horse and rider.

To be a true equestrian you need to understand how a horse thinks. This is the only way you can connect with your horse and communicate what you would like him/her to do. If you are in a scary place or trying something new to both of you or only one of you, you need to understand that the communication you use must be understandable to your horse. This is why we don't just ask you to get on and go when you ride with Five Star Equestrian. We ask that you work with your horse on the ground and understand, each and every time you ride, what he/she is feeling before you get on. This is the time for preparing your ride and it will determine whether or not your equine communication skills are strong and clear enough to achieve your goals for that day.
