Dine like a Sommelier! Happy Hour at Alpana Singh's new restaurant this past Friday was a pleasure. We enjoyed everything--from the delicious Kale Caesar to the tasty twist on a Sidecar and the celebratory décor. I will definitely return, if only for the friendly service.

very contemporary interior design. the first floor ceiling is made of wine glasses. the second floor ceiling is made of water bottles. pricey to dine in. the crispy duck is unique and the kale salad is good too. if you're on a tight budget, stay on the first floor for a drink and the ambience.

A wonderful beginning for Alpana. Creative, whimsical food. A delight. Will definitely return

I've eaten upstairs and downstairs at this restaurant, and I've gotta say, downstairs was my favorite. The downstairs menu is more low-key and includes a ton of great pizza choices - delish. You should try the brussel sprouts, too. The upstairs was gorgeous, but the menu didn't feel super original. Plus they won't bring you pizzas up there! Sometimes you can sweet talk your waiter...sometimes. I loved the Scallops, the Bibb Lettuce salad was just okay. Little known fact - they have an AMAZING event space which is a lofted area above the dining room. This place would be great for a rehearsal dinner or the like - maybe an engagement party - and I'm sure you could do something cool with a wine tasting, as the owner is a world-class sommelier.

Celebrated my husband's birthday the newly-opened Boarding House. Top marks for decor, I loved the bar and the dining room ambiance, but the service was sub-par, with a very aloof waiter (Erich) who after three visits to our table could not take our order, as he just stopped by to tell us he'd be right back. Twenty minutes later a second server told us Erich would be right with us and we placed our order directly with him. At the end of the meal, Erich apologized for taking a while at the beginning, but he maybe had three other tables and it was a Monday night. No need for excuses, with that price tag I would like more attentive service. Alpana poured our wine, and it was nice to see her, but overall the food was expensive for what it was and the service was a real disappointment. I had the hazelnut short rib, which has a nice flavor but the side items on the plate were served cold. I hope it improves soon!

Yes , the decor is stunning , airy and makes you stop for a second. The food ???? Nothing special or at least nothing at all that has not been done many , many times before. The service is great and been able to see Alpana walking around and making sure that everyone is having a great time is a bonus, she is an absolute gem of her gorgeous restaurant and she fits right in. Alpana , please find a Chef who will compliment this luxury establishment. Your restaurant should be number one in the Midwest you have every potential to do so. Don't settel for two stars.
